I couldn't find much.

Entering the season, their coach's seat is pretty warm. They went 4-8 last year and have done worse and worse every year since 2012. They are starting a redshirt freshman QB and they have a very good DLman. His name is leaving me right now.

Looking at their record last season, I think ULM might be a tougher game than most think. ULM lost a lot of games last season but they did lose a lot of very close games.

They beat wake forest and lost 4 games by a TD.

They held LSU to 10 points at half, and they lost to Texas A&M 22-16.

Add what you can.

Gerrand Johnson is a beast at NT. Going to be interesting and a good opening matchup for our interior line and new center.

Stolen from SoT34 on tRant:

The Mizzou transfer (never actually played for the Tigers) was named as a first-team All Sun Belt conference player last year and led his team with 93 tackles. He's going to have to have a big game if UL Monroe is going to limit the UGA rushing attack. Johnson also is able to get to the quarterback very well from the nose tackle position and is a leader for the defense. Johnson has been very outspoken about his belief that the WarHawks are going to be able to compete with the UGA offense and it's going to be interesting to see if he can lead a group that finished the season ranked 86th in run defense against one of the nation's premier run offenses.

Oh boy... this hasn't worked out too well for outspoken players/opponents in the past

Well I stole a sliver of it from a buddy who plays for the team. Michael Johnson (LB) is also a really solid player. I think they return 9 guys on defense from last year, and their pass defense was really good last season. Run defense wasn't as great, so I'm hoping that stays the same way for the first game of this year.

They beat Alabama in 2007 (Saban's first year)... Pruitt was coaching the DBs if I'm not mistaken. Hence his respect for this team.

That's all I got.

We should beat the ever living frick out of these guys. This is the best RB/OL combos we have had in awhile and our defense is loaded with NFL talent. It better not be close

They are picked to finish 7th out of the 11 teams in the Sunbelt Conference. LINK

Unfortunately they beat us (Arkansas) in 2012 when we were ranked 8th and they came from 21 points down to win in OT. While we had a bad year overall that year under John L. Smith, ULM does have a reputation for slipping up on more talented teams and making it close if not winning.

While the line is pretty big I think Georgia covers as I don't see that ULM has the horses to compete this year and I think they'll really struggle against the Georgia defense.

They took Auburn to OT as well that year. Hell they should've won it in regulation but fricked around let barn kick a fg in 4th and they kicked another in ot. IIRC they went for a TD in ot and didn't get it. Am I right or thinking of another game? I do remember being severely pissed they let AU win though.

Good post...I too think ULM could be a little tough at first. But, if UGA doesn't make a lot of mistakes, they should pull away in the second half, and win by maybe 4 TD's.

You're right about that Spunky--Auburn beat them by a FG in OT that same year. But we beat Auburn 24-7 that year so Auburn sucked worse than we did. ULM did go on to the Independence Bowl which was a first for them and I was really impressed with their QB at that time as he was a good scrambler/passer. But I'm not aware of them having such a standout on this year's team or any offensive stars.

Maybe if you mean the first 2 drives while Lambert gets settled. Nothing at all about this game should be close or tough. We can and should run at will, but more importantly their offense shouldnt' be able to move on us. Yes we have a lot of new faces and a lot of freshman, but we also have pruitt and they're ULM.

If it's a 2 possesion game at halftime I'm going to be furious.

I don't really know what else people expect him to say. He didn't come out and say "Chubb's overrated" or anything like that. He's confident in himself and was respectful of Chubb/UGA, so I don't take any issue with what he said.

That said, if this game isn't over at halftime, I will be concerned about this season going forward.

I would like to see em pressure Lambert to see how he handles it.

Per King on 680;Handling pressure was the worst part of his game last year.

Yea,I know it was the King and he is a vast wasteland of knowledge.
