Best I remember, Nichols loaded the box to stop the run just like Mizzou did. If Old Miss plays straight up we will run on them.

Old Miss secondary is injured and very young. Eason should find some success there as well.

Nichols and Missouri have both almost beat us by crashing the running game and taking their chances. Ole Miss would be stupid not to do the same.

Not after what Eason was able to do against Mizz, couple that with OM has two starting true freshman in there because of their injuries.

I think you see a ton of deep balls thrown.

Ooof. Clemson has not looked good this year. Hope you win your bet.

If we are able to run early on them, then yes, we will continue to run. But, don't put too much stock into those stats. Ole Miss stopped Dalvin Cook cold, so I expect their run defense to be better than many expect. If Ole Miss stacks the box, then I suspect we will try to burn them with the pass.

I do agree, the ideal scenario is we can move the ball on the ground and keep Chad Kelly off the field.

ONE WR with talent of the Moore kid from Mizzou we'd be looking at a pretty freakin explosive offense.

Godwin and Ridley both have that talent. Godwin began to show it last season but for some reason he's yet to break out this year. Ridley's time will come, too - but doubting it will be this weekend. Particularly with his thumb in a cast...

Not gonna put much faith in a FR WR no matter how highly touted.Godwin is talented but all things being equal I'll take the 6'3 WR over one thats 5'11.

From what all of what we've seen so far I think Godwin's talent is definitely favorable to Ridley's.

We could be successful with a ball control offense even with our passing attack. We had a 45% 3rd down conversion last week. That is with 55 pass attempts.

Chaney is good. I think he can call a ball-control attack even through the air.

It's been 3 games. There's still a while to decide if he is good or not. I think we can say definitively he is better than Schotty, but I'm not sure he's proven that he's good yet.

He knows not to blow our wad against d2 schools. Despite the close game, he protected Eason by showing nothing.

At the moment, that is one of our advantages... our playbook and the strengths off of it are still relatively unknown.

I still don't get everyone's negativity about this game. Yes OM can make big plays and score points, but if you limit the big plays and rattle Kelly they get bad quick.

Meanwhile, they don't have the secondary to keep Eason in check without dropping back extra help, which will leave room for Chubb and Michel.

I'm feeling good about the atmosphere too. An early game, they gave their all against Bama and came up short, a close loss was the best possible scenario for us I think.

Dawgs win a close win, but still get the win. 34-31.

You don't normally see it done this way....but you are right. It can be done. Most of our completed passes are short dump offs, anyway.

I've been pleasantly surprised with his play selection so far. I REALLY liked to see what he did with the FB last week. He seems capable of getting everybody involved with the offense. He makes it very difficult for a defense to prepare, because different people and positions are involved each week.

I agree, but we couldn't/didn't limit the big plays against Missouri. They did that to themselves by going conservative in the second half.

I hope you are right, bu nobody has done this yet. Nobody. And they have all kept the games close not doing it.

Agreed. This is definitely something we have going for us.

This is such a ridiculous defense of our performance in that game. Everyone goes vanilla against programs like that. We should still put up more than 20 points on offense (and I'm giving us the country when we went for 2) against Nicholls.

I am hopeful he is good, but it's early and we don't know a ton at this point other than he's not afraid to go with what is working which I like.

Having watched or listened to two OM games this season, a ball control offense isn't going to do jack shite against OM. Out of 128 FBS teams, they rank 126th in TOP....and they're 10th in the nation and first in the SEC for total offense. Against FSU the offense was on the field for just over 17 minutes and they scored 34 points.

Georgia is going to have to go to the air to try to keep up as well as force/capitalize on some turnovers and/or special teams plays. This is going to be one high scoring game.

If you gamble, the O/U is at 62. The over is easy money.

I'd love Clemson -9.5 if this was a Saturday game. Four days is not a whole lot of time to prepare for the option, practice against it, travel, and be ready for it. I could see any scenario playing out tonight

If they jump on us like they did to Alabama and FSU, we haven't shown the firepower to turn it around and come back. This is a whole different animal than any of the first three games.

If you don't think they spent most of their time last week preparing for GT than I got some land in East Alabama you might want to look at.
