Mizzou won't be CBS. They'll choose either LSU-UF or A&M-Bama IMO.

As long as we avoid the 12:00 ESPN slot that should be a night game.

Noon is likely for that game.

Not like UK or AU would draw at 3:30 slot anyway

Well UK could draw the 3:30 since Bama-LSU will get the 8:00 slot that night (other options are Ark-OM, Auburn-A&M, Vandy-UF, and USC-UT), and then maybe AU could be the 12:00 game (other games are Ark-LSU, Bama-MSU, Florida-USC, and UK-Vandy).

How many Noon SEC games does ESPN do per year?

I feel like ESPN would for sure want this game, and more than likely we'd either be 7:00 on ESPN or 7:15 ESPN2.

Uk could be 7-1 when we meet.

Unsure but espn wants "good" games at noon, which is why it gets The #3 slot. We played Mizzou and ut at noon in Sanford The past 2 years.

Yeah, you definitely bring up a good point there and I could see that. I'll just pray they put FSU-Louisville and Clemson-BC in those early game slots.

By "good" I mean "sec." It's unfortunately part of the sec network deal.

Since when?

Looks like whomever said five games was right.

WLOCP might be exempt from this rule, but I know it's why the Iron Bowl '14 wasn't on CBS, since the network went hog wild on Bama coverage earlier in the year.

ETA:

quote:

Selections are made a couple of weeks in advance and there is a contractual limit to the amount of times one school can appear on any network. That number has correctly been reported as five TV appearances, though there is clearly some flexibility in the contact because CBS aired Florida six times in 2009. When Alabama played Mississippi State on Nov. 15, it was the school’s fifth time (Florida, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, LSU and Mississippi State) appearing on CBS in 2014.

"Our agreement includes certain appearance parameters," said CBS Sports president David Berson, who declined to get into the specifics of those parameters.

I think it just depends on the week. Generally the SEC Network gets the 4th pick for the 12:00 game, but I know sometimes that will change.

My guess is those "parameters" start with an M and rhyme with honey

I believe it is.I know it was specifically written into the contract renewal that it would be the CBS 3:30 game for the duration of the renewal.

I said 5 games in the thread on the SECRant but I was counting the SECCG. Assuming with the SECCG you can appear at least 6 times... Good find...

Espn noon picks before secn noon.

Yeah, I just meant that normally the SEC order is CBS 3:30, then ESPN 7:00, then ESPN 2 7:15. Sometimes the SEC will get the noon ESPN game, but that only happens 2 or 3 times a season I think.

Maybe before the secn. Espn noon is 3rd pick since then.
