The win may not give us huge bonus points or anything but it's still a win and it sure beats a loss.
Oh I agree about that. The win wont hurt us, and a loss would, but come Jan/Feb when they start looking at resume's, if GW is one of our best wins, we are in trouble.
Marquette, Texas, and maybe even a road win at Oakland are OOC games that we need for the resume.

Marquette sucks, you can't just look at team names.
This was absolutely a crucial win. GW won the nit last year, they are 100% trying to get on that bubble and it is nice that we have a neutral site win against them. Maybe they don't do shite, but we still beat a team we are better than. Huge win also because it gives us a free game against Kansas. Total win/win scenario. The game can't possibly hurt our tournament chances but we can basically make the NCAA tournament with a win. Not even kidding.
Atmosphere in KC is pretty shitty tbh. Still having an amazing time. Last night when we got to the sprint center and saw no one was there, we just walked down to like 6 rows behind the Georgia bench and watched the entire game from there. Conley was like 25 feet away and it was the only pocket of like 50 uga people.
Getting some barbecue, heading over to Lawrence for a quick trip, then casino action and back to the sprint center for a dawgs victory. Let's gooooooo

Now if we can just put everything together and beat Kansas tonight.

I was happy to see Ogbeide and Parker have good night to help out Maten and Frazier. We have to find 2-3 other guys who can contribute in case one of our stars has an off night.
Anyone want to guess who has this stat line?
10 Minutes, 0 pts, 0-1 fg, 1 reb, 4 pf

Going to be an interesting night for you for sure
Hopefully you got some Joe's or Arthur Bryant's to ease the rooting interest conflict.

DING DING DING!
I'll fricking tell you what, put me on a college basketball court for 10 minutes and I will sure as frick gran a rebound and foul the ever loving shite out of some people. I hope that as Ogbeide and Edwards mature a little bit it will lead to a decrease in Kessler's minutes. If we can get some serviceable minutes from Diatta, too, it could mean we only see 2-3 minutes of Kessler per game!
One of the announcers last night mentioned UGA's depth and said "It's such an advantage tha Fox can rely on bench players like... Kessler for quality minutes". I almost broke my TV.

Kansas only favored by 14.....seems like some easy money

I added a road game at Oakland into important games. Pretty sure I didnt just look at names, otherwise I might have added Georgia Tech.
I think Marquette is going to be a bubble team this year. I know they lost Ellenson to the draft, but I like what else they have. They've beaten Vandy, who could be a bubble team from the SEC, lost big to Michigan, but they are rolling right now, and a close loss to Pitt, probably another bubble team. A win against them is probably going to look a lot better than a win against GW.

No one expects UGA to win although our players should expect to win. Self is a shitty coach just like Fox. He get's top tier players every year and fails to capitalize when it counts. I don't expect UGA to win but I do expect to compete. This is a great early season measuring stick of where we are as a program. If UGA does manage to upset Kansas... holy shite...

I dont think Kansas is that great from what Ive seen. Theyll probably get better throughout the season, once their young and older guys gel, but I wasnt impressed that much when they lost to Indiana, and I really wasnt impressed when they had to have a last second shot to beat a Duke team that was playing 6 guys, and was missing three lottery picks.
I think Georgia will be within relative striking distance for most of the game. It will probably be around a 10 point game going into the final tv timeout, and what happens after that is up to our guys.

The will be up 20 by final tv timeout. We have no depth and playing back to back games against a team that will make our boys nervous. Kansas was beating a UAB team, that would handle UGA, by 20+ most of the night

got em right where we want em boys

UAB would handle UGA? WTF are you talking about? UGA could and probably would beat UAB. Under no circumstance would UAB "handle" UGA with that team they put on the court last night, minus their 2 best players from last year, and a new coaching staff...

Yeah, I generally think that a guy with 12 straight Big 12 Championships and a natty is a terrible coach as well

Kansas IS expected to win the Big 12 every year... They've had lottery pick after lottery pick and have only won one NC... Their fans are beginning to become uneasy with him. Must be nice I guess.
