Seth Emerson reported that a UGA alumni actually owns Dreamland BBQ, so while it might have started and reside in Bama, the cash is going to a UGA alumni.
Also, WHO GIVES A MUTHAfrick. I mean when I go to a game I almost always tailgate and cook my own food, plus I'd prob too buzzed to even give a frick abt the quality of BBQ sandwich I Was eating.

The fact is, to make 1000 bbq sandwiches in a day is one thing, to make 50,000 bbq sandwiches in a day is quite another.
There isn't a large enough Georgia-based bbq restaurant that can step in to this role right now.

You really are dense. A sponsor donates money to the athletic program. They most certainly should be allowed to criticize, they've paid for that right.

I don't know shite about food services but could figure out after a few games how much pulled pork and buns I'd need for noon and afternoon games.
And whatever I figured out I'd hold back 500 sandwiches until the price got up to $19 a piece and then make bank.

Barstools, I have two questions...
1. Would you mind sharing your food service credentials? I promise I'll share mine if you share yours first.
2. Do you think Dreamland is going to be running 12 smokers in Sanford Stadium? Or just a central smoker somewhere in the catacombs with a commercial kitchen and running the sandwiches out to the kiosks?

1. Admittedly not much, but I did manage 3 restaurant outlets at a hotel (FOH).
2. I don't know the exact logistics. I just know there is no way they are smoking enough meat to serve 50,000 sandwiches for 93,000 people. Maybe 5, 10 tops.

There are no smokers in Sanford. There is no commercial kitchen in Sanford. Nothing is "cooked" in Sanford. Everything is trucked in and reheated. Even chickfila.

If I read their menu correctly, they have two types - pulled pork & cheese, etc. over nacho chips, and another one where they're over their homemade potato chips (which were cold and kinda gross).
Their smoked sausage was likely some of the best I've ever had, though. I have no problem giving credit where it's due.
