Greg is just full of good decisions, like sending somebody from the athletic department down to an Athens Subway demanding that this sign be taken down (it has).

Didn'the say that in the article.

quote:

The anti-McGarity sentiment came from the store’s district manager, who is a “diehard fan,” and was put up Thursday, according to store manager Brandi Lavender. McGarity said on Monday he was unaware of it. The district manager did not return a message left for him Monday morning.

As much as I detest McGarits I highly doubt the AD or someone associated would care about the sign

Subway restaurants come from Conneticut. Where's all the dork outrage over them being in Sanford too?

Also, there's Chik-fila in Bryant Denny and most of the others.

Holy shite. The article says the old bbq sandwiches in Sanford came from Sonny's.

This is definitely an upgrade.

McGarity is hands down a hero on this one.

Subway is one of UGA's sponsors. They have a business deal. And you're mad that one partner in the deal doesn't want the other partner publicly shitting on them? Dipple diddy boop bop.....scoobidty dee!

Ok,I've reread the article in OP 3 times and still didn't see the quote.

Was that from another article?

Yeah it's totally cool that our AD is getting into a public dispute with some local shitty fast food chain because his ego won't let him take any criticism. I know you like to take the "different" viewpoint on everything, but defending this AD is a bad idea 9 times out of 10.

Maybe, just maybe, Dreamland was the best combo of capacity to keep up with demand for a full stadium, price, and taste...

This sounds like an opportunity for a GA based entrepreneur and BBQ outfit to install themselves in Sanford and sell about 10,000 sandwiches every game day.

Also, how do we have Dreamland but not The Varsity? Is there history here and I don't know it? Are they there and I missed it? I don't get to many home games anymore.

Question: Do they have BBQ nachos? This affects my opinion on this matter.
