Speaking of which, Big John has to be the greatest JC prospect to ever play at UGA I reckon.

He's listed at 6-3 360 for the Saints, damn.

It's common for dt's to split time, and these 2 in particular often played together side by side because we didn't have solid depth.

Damn, now I'm having flashbacks of Bama running at will during the second half of the SEC title game in 2012.

That game pops up every now and then to haunt me. Typically it's just when it feels like I've forgotten about it.

Last week he was working with the 1's and the 2's. He worked with the 1's and Wynn slid down to LG, Sims over to RG, and Gaillard moved down to the 2's. I don't think he absolutely has to win the LT spot because I think Wynn is a very good college LT, even if he projects as a guard at the next level.

That said, I'm not forming a decision on one drill. Seemed like everyday when I played the coaches would get pissed at a starter for not hustling enough or not having their head in practice and they'd get sent to the back of the line during position drills and have to go through with the scrubs.

Actually in a recent press conference CKS said that he wants to see how the players respond to pressure. He specifically said that some players will be demoted and some will be promoted.
He wants to see how the players respond to that pressure.
quote:

“For me as a coach, how kids handle adversity in camp tells me a lot about them. We're going to try and simulate the ups and downs of a season in camp. There's going to be good days for the defense, there's going to be bad days for the defense. Same for the offense,” Smart said. “How you respond to that (is what's important). There's going to be players demoted. There's going to be players promoted in jobs, on the depth chart. There's going to be movement. How they respond to that adversity will tell me a lot about them.”

Smart took issue with one question in particular. Has was asked if graduate transfer Tyler Catalina had fallen behind in the competition at left tackle. “No, he hasn’t,” Smart said. “… Why would you say that? Are you counting reps?”
