Go ask any offensive line coach what they do when defensive players tackle on thud days. They'll say the same thing. You start cutting their arse.

He put a hit on the RB. HE DID NOT TACKLE HIM. What else you got?

Whether they got excited or not doesn't matter. You don't treat a teammate like that especially not in a freaking all-star game. There is nothing wrong with going hard but there is a major difference between thud and tackle. They weren't wearing pants so it wasn't a tackle day.

His butt would and will get cut blocked for tackling his teammates like that. What if he hits Nick Chubb like that and Chubb breaks a collar bone in practice. Y'all are gonna be some kinda pissed then.

Thud means you wrap up and that's it, you don't blow his freaking doors off and you don't hit him to the ground...nobody ever taught y'all the difference between thud and tackle did they?

Go learn something about the game, prettyboy has a football 1101 class that you can join. Y'all can probably join a study group. First lesson, what is the spread offense? Second lesson, what is a cut block and when is it legal? Third lesson, make sure your facts are right before commenting!

88 - thou hath missed the entire point of what makes that an exciting video. He never tackled the RB. In your haste to take a piss in everyone's Wheaties you seem to have completely missed that little fact.

Trent went thud like everyone else. He neve wrapped up, didn't drive thru the hit, and never left his feet. Just a simple thud hit. And the RB went flying.

Reminded me of that pre-season hit where Chubb decked a guy by hitting the pad he was holding. Guess you thought Chubb should've been punished for that, too :-D

Poor Merritt Hall quit the team shortly after Chubb clobbered him... (That's not the reason, but it was funny to think till the concussion details came out).

That clearly wasn't thud as you have obviously never seen what a thud hit looks like.

But believe whatever you want. He does that to Nick Chubb and he'll get his arse cut and potentially hurt. Then we are down 2 really quality players.

I'm the dense one...you thought a cut block was illegal. How in the heck do you think the falcons are going to block with Kyle Shannahan's wide zone scheme?

I heard that title went to Byron Cowart. And then number 2 was another DT by the name of Terry Beckner.

I'm kidding, but really....what was ESPN watching to rank the way they did?

You think he's mad now, wait 'till Big Trent hits Justin Thomas like that and then drives him into the turf.

Every service gets their own picks. Trenton Thompson was the consensus #1 after they were all averaged together. That takes out the bias.

He was number 1 in 247's rankings, number 2 in Scout's and who else's? Serious question as I don't know. ESPN's rankings are one in the same with Rivals, right?

BTW, what happened with Josh Sweat? Was he not committed to us at one point?

I don't keep up with all the different services, just remember that Trent was the consensus #1. There's a lot of different opinions about how to evaluate a recruit, plus there's a bias to rank players who commit late higher. For example, I saw that Roquan Smith was rated the #1 MLB on Scout. Little too high IMO because of his size, but that keeps the fans interested in the process right up until signing day. By commiting early, Trent probably hurt his ranking on some services.

As for Sweat, he tore up his knee and committed to FSU, so he dropped in the final rankings. Not a big deal, we signed several DE/OLB's who could end up being as good as any in the country.
