So, I am not sure we have enough Grantham threads. So I want to add another.

Last night I wanted to watch and see if the same shite I noticed during Grantham's tenure was happening at UL. The same shite Rig said didn't happen. And I'll be damned if we didn't see everything we hated about that twat waffle.

- Long completions on 3rd and Grantham? Check

- Overly complex blitzes with absolutely no penetration? Check

- Still fat? Double Check

- Took too long to get the god damn play in? Biggest Check of all

The last point is what I noticed. We always bemoaned the fact that Grantham took years to get the play in and last night Chubbs first run came off of that. The announcers wanted to credit us "going up tempo" except, well, we have been running our offense like that all year. Lilly didn't "notice" something like the announcers said. IYAM they knew that Grantham took forever to get the fricking play in.

So, gentleman, call me whatever you want but I want to say the most American thing that could have happened last night happened. Thank you Based Chubb.

And I leave you with this

quote:

When it was over, the 37 points and 292 rushing yards provided a nice perk for Georgia’s offense, which was eager to offer some retribution to former Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, who now leads Louisville's defense. Mason said Grantham used to call Georgia’s offense “Mickey Mouse,” and the team relished the chance to see him squirm.

IT WAS LIKE LOOKING INTO A TIME MACHINE, AMIRITE?

Saw them all panicky and screaming at the sideline multiple times and it made me as hard as a diamond in an ice storm.

That was sort of a storybook ending to Grantham era at Georgia, with the exception being it was in the Belk Bowl.

The offense beat his arse, old trends repeated themselves in UGA's favor, and a DB he wouldn't recruit pick off the Louisville offense twice.

frick Grantham.

Seeing that round mound on Lousville's sideline with his multitude of laminated hieroglyphics and a stunned look of cluelessness on his face while his defense received an historical stomping really helped put the cherry on top of a great final game of the season.

We were 12 for 18 on 3rd down. Many of them 3rd and long. It was glorious to watch. I actually got excited watching the 3rd and longs

Louisville's defense had communication issues

quote:

What happened when you all weren't lined up?

Mount: I think we maybe had two D-linemen on the field, we actually were playing out there with nine. After substition, we had about nine guys on the field.

What did you attribute that to? You practice so much, but did it happen during the year much at all?

Mount: We didn't expect those guys to play us up-tempo like they did. All year they showed they're a team that takes their time and they check with the coaches on the sideline. This game they didn't really do that much."

There's a reason we cranked up the tempo for this game. Watching defenders standing around clueless at the snap was beautiful. I also was glad to see Chubb do what he did because I lost any and all faith in Grantham when he decided not to rotate DL and it got us absolutely trampled by Bama in 2012.

Long story short: in my eyes, any of Petrino's Falcons-related sins are forgiven for taking Grantham off our hands.

Dominating Grantham had to be a great feeling for Richt. We stayed for the trophy presentation and it was awesome. I truly felt happy for the man.

It was damn cold...but still awesome...

Funny thing about that game was that we were either bustin' it for long yds or getting stopped at the LOS. Not much in-between. Petrino said they couldn't give up the big plays on D, but Pigdog is the same at UL that he was here. What a pair, he and Petrino make.

If I was Bobo I'd have stayed through the bowl just for the pleasure of using my Mickey Mouse offense to hang 50 on his dumb arse.

Grantham has entered that level of obesity now where it has shifted his center of gravity. It's kind of sad.

He has to lean backwards a little bit now when standing still to offset the weight of his gut..........just like those lardasses you see waddling around at walmart.

Also, i agree with the OP.
