I've really tried to avoid the coach bashing but Chaney sucks, I'm ready for him to wobble his fat arse out of Athens.

We threw on 2nd and 8 with the lead and them being unable to stop our ground game

The play was there. You nor anyone would be complaining if Eason put the ball on target.

I could make the argument that not staying conservative cost us this game. Eason's interception when Chubb should have gotten the rock

Huh?Our defense was HORRIBLE in the red zone and didn't help that 3 dbs went out on the last drive.

When you play conservative and play not to lose this is what you get. It's sickening to watch us week after week play down to the level of our opponents and I believe the fat man is to blame.
Grow a pair Kirby and get rid of him tonight. Hell, if Kiffen is thinking about going to LSU, go after him.

My point is that we dumb it down and don't take many shots against lesser competition. Thus, they stay in the game and have an opportunity at the end. I haven't been this pissed about a loss since the 2012 seccg

i would because why take the risk for a 3 yard gain.

if youre going to throw it, at least throw it down field

It was 2nd and 8. It was supposed to be a safe throw to get 5 to 6 yds and set up a 3rd and short. Comedy of errors. Eason throws high and behind Godwin and then he hands it up in the air. Run it and get stuffed and its 3rd and 8. Yes you run some clock but this was NOT a conservative play call.

When our coaches expected Vandy to run they passed.

When Vandy coaches expected us to run we ran.

This year has been plagued by bad play calling.

Yep, Chaney didn't cause Eason to throw inaccurate passes some of which led to interceptions. When you have a pattern of inaccuracy it's going to catch up with you sooner than later. If we had run the ball every down on that drive, ironically someone would bitch about conservative play calling. The truth is our players are not executing/making plays. We had a bad snap on the FG that was missed. Eason made too many bad throws. Our players aren't blocking well enough. Our defense can't stop any decent offense inside our redzone.

Kirby Smart was a highly successful DC and Assistant HC under the best in the business for 7 years. He knows how to coach a winning team. He just needs to recruit a winning team. We just flat out need better players at some positions and more quality depth at several other positions.
