The most Georgia / Atlanta thing ever....and seriously....didn't we all kind of feel it??? This sort of shite has happened to so many teams that I was invested in (not on such a stage and in such spectacular fashion) that I am immune to it....had the Falcons won it would have simply seemed like something bad happened....this feels much more familiar and comforting....
I am an Atlanta native and entered the world the same year as the Falcons...I have been a luke warm Falcons fan since about 7, a Hawks, Braves, Flames, Thrashers...other than Georgia Tech I have been an Atlanta Homer all my life...and they are all dissapointing all the time LOL....nothing like pulling for a lost cause....and the Falcons just proved that better than any team could ever do again!

How sad but if you are a Georgia/Falcon/Braves fan you could see it coming from a mile away and almost expecting to lose. Just hard to fathom that every one of you sitting on your couch last night knew how to finish the game and our coaches didn't.

Oh it was so obvious how it would end as soon as the decided to get fancy and not run 3 times and let Bryant put them up 11.

Trufant being out finally caught up to us
We win if he's in the game. 100%
We win if he's in the game. 100%

It was a mighty convenient win...almost TOO convenient.

If he's a Pats fan, he's forsaken them quite a bit: Bears, Packer, Giants (x2).

Just shut the frick up and stop making it worse. Ryan and Shanahan didn't give up 450 fricking yards passing.
Not directly, but only running 44 offensive plays in an entire game, not running the ball in *crucial* moments, and specifically not bleeding the play clock on every play with a 19 point lead in the 4th quarter is just silly. There is no reasonable expectation that our defense was going to hold up to the greatest NFL QB in history with that kind of play calling. We got above expectation performance from them for about 2.5 quarters and then they were gassed. It was our offense's job to sit on that lead and smother the clock, not to mention run 3 times when you're inside their 25 and kick a FG to return to a 2 score game.
