There is a driver in the Busch series from Georgia that will be replacing jeff gordon next year in Cup.
He's the son of Awesome-Bill-from-Dawsonville and is the last best hope to save nascar from the reign of the robots...

I swear every holiday is about veterans nowadays. No wonder the service members of today are crying over t-shirts and "stolen valor". The hero worship needs to stop.

There wasn't much action until the end and then a couple of big ones. Typical Daytona racing. I bet Brian Scott is mad because for so long it looked like he had it in the bag and I don't think he's won a race in this series.
I didn't know Morgan Shepherd and Derrick Cope could still drive a race car but they were done early.
I'm guessing there will be at least one big one tomorrow.

I liked nbc's coverage. Except for their ticker that shows 5 cars at a time for all 43 cars.....and they're on the last turn of last lap telling me who's running 39th. Idiots!
They're definitely trying to be different with all the zoomed in tight shots though. And it looks pretty sharp.

It was good coverage.
I couldn't tell for sure what happened to Scott but in one post race story it said he went up the track to block Sadler and that's when contact was made. If so what a dumb thing to do that late in the race. He should have stayed on the bottom where he was having success. It's kind of amazing Sadler managed to make it through all that to take second.
