We can only hope. Gurley might well set some records at UGA before it's over with.

If he keeps pace with last year's output, he may very well pass Herschel in terms of career output (granted that's 4 years compared to 3, but still a hell of an accomplishment)

Truthfully, he'd be an idiot to come back his senior year if he keeps tearin' shite up in the SEC...

Running backs have such short careers in the NFL that he'd be much better off leaving after 3 and finishing his degree during the offseasons/after his career. And it's not just an extra year of pay; the extra year of wear in college could be the difference between a team feeling comfortable signing him to a huge second contract or not.

It would be incredibly dumb for him to leave before his senior year. He should definitely stay and work on his studies. I am not biased at all.

Don't know and don't care. I'm just putting it out there as a reason why he'd want to stay 4 years.

Different kids have different priorities. Murray is sticking around and schooling is a big part of it from what I understand. Perhaps Gurley wants to do the same. He might not think another year of college ball is going to hurt him in the NFL. He could be looking at it like another year to develop his techniques and skills to become more proficient in the NFL.

Without knowing why he'd want to stay for 4 years, I can only speculate.

His major will tell you whether he's serious about a degree. If its a football factory major, he won't care about the degree. If he's taking a real major, he might stay.

Good point.

According to his bio, his major is Pre-Business.

If he wants a business degree, I could see him wanting to stick around for 4 years.

C'mon....

If he's healthy and projected to go high in the draft at the end of his junior year do we really think there's a chance he'll stay a forth year yr and give up all that money? For a business degree?

A business degree he could come back and finish at any time?

For a running back that would be the stupidest move of all time.

I can't see him staying 4 years. Also, with the amount of classes they take it isn't impossible for Gurley to finish or be awfully close to finishing by then.

Wow guys.. I'm just making comments based on his words about sticking around for 4 years.

Most elite RBs will choose to leave early. I don't know what is going on in Gurley's head. I'm only speculating as to why he might stick around based on what he said.
