Alright, let's do this.

I was wrong. I was a doubting Thomas (Dimitroff). I have bad-mouthed Dan Quinn long enough, but I can do it no longer.

I'm changing my logo to the Falcons for the rest of this playoff run, and I am taking a pledge that I urge every other Falcons fan on this board who questioned Quinn to take as well.

Repeat after me.

I BranchDawg,

Apologize for every Quinn-bashing post I've ever made.

I believe in Dan Quinn.

I will trust in his Quinning ways.

I will not bad-mouth Dan Quinn.

I will join the Brotherhood.

And I will rise the frick up.

Onward brothers!

I'm not taking any pledge (at the end of the day, I'm still just not a fan of the NFL, same as I'm not a fan of the NBA) but I will admit that I have been hyper-critical of the Falcons in the past (specifically the Falcons leadership) and have been pleasantly surprised by how well this team has functioned this season.

I'm not the type of person to jump on a bandwagon I've not earned my stripes to be on but I will say that this team they've built is very entertaining and I hope I get to watch them play in 2 more games (preferably against the Pats so it's a win-win proposition with Boss Andrews and Malcolm Mitchell on the other side).

Enjoy the ride, Dirty birds

Matt Ryan post game press conference-

"I think we are all an extension of one another"

That's some existential shite right there. You don't hear that shite too often, outside of reggae.

Wow,

Almost the exact way I feel td. I have never rooted for the falcons, bit this team is fun to watch and it would be amazing to see them win a super bowl.

No need for the pledge for me, as I've been a believer. This team just has that feel of being something real special. We are proven against a tough schedule (unlike Dallas) and we got the best QB in the game and the historically one of the best offensives.

Our DEF is getting better throughout the season and they played well yesterday. If we can make it to the super bowl and get a statue at qb, I think the DEF will feast. Wilson got lucky last night on a few plays to escape the sack.

This defines my disposition perfectly.

Falcons to the NFC title game. We've all seen it before and been disappointed before. Only one trip to the Super Bowl and a total embarrassment in the game. IF they make the Super Bowl again then I will consider making them my NFL team again. If they win I might even watch them regularly next season.

Why not jump on the bang wagon with everyone else? Why wait a game or two before you become a band wagon fan?

I can't find the thread where people were saying to fire Dan Quinn and that Arthur Blank was a bad owner and needed to sell the team. I believe it was the Chargers game thread.

ETA: Threads bumped

I would guess most of these bandwagon fans were on the Fire Dan Quinn bandwagon about 10 games back. Probably they were on the Dump Vic Beasley bandwagon last year too.
A super Bowl win will win my confidence in them.

yep.

I'm a dolphins fan, and when I first decided to get into the NFL years ago I intentinoally didn't choose the falcons because of all the fair weather bandwagoneres that I knew in 98.

But damn if it's not easy to get excited about the home team this year, they're just a fun team to watch. I am absolutely pulling for them to win it all and bring a title back to this city.

The difference is, some of us were on the "fire Dan Quinn" or "dump Beasley" bandwagon, while you are talking about owning and disowning a team based on whether or not they make the Super Bowl ( by the way)

By that line of thinking, anyone who doesn't like the coach isn't a fan of that team.

Been a Falcons fan since I've been watching NFL football, but yeah if they are sucking, I'm going to complain and probably not be as interested since I'm mainly a CFB guy anyway.

I bought my first Falcons season tickets in 1974. I saw more really bad teams in Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (where every seat was a bad seat) than I've seen really good Falcon teams. So pardon me if I don't get excited about another team that may or may not win the NFC title game and/or Super Bowl. I'll watch the next game but I won't get too excited about the team until they finally earn my respect.
