Surprises for Florida and auburn

I was thinking of the type of plays that we have not run this season. Things that might be waiting in the wings for a defense that could be a challenge for our running game.
We really haven't done any designed rollouts/bootlegs. A first down playaction (with defenses keying on the run) rollout is the type of opportunity to get our tight ends involved.
It would also counter pursuit flowing to the tailbacks and slow things up for the defenses on future plays.
We also haven't thrown to our full backs yet

All were staples of Bobo's offense. Clearly Cheney doesn't value them as much because I've seen very little to none of it in a year and a half.

If our TEs didn't have a profound case of the dropsies in games, I'm sure they'd be targeted more. Their blocking/ pass protection has been great, however.

I don't think it's that CJC doesn't value TEs as much as we still need them to help block at times. As our o-line continues to improve I expect they see more action.

He made Hunter Henry a rich man at Arkansas.

Tennessee tore us up with that bootleg pass to the tight end as well.
I definitely think we are saving some things for teams that will challenge our run game.

Agreed. We opened it up a little right out of the gate vs Moo State because Chaney has gotten Grantham's goat a number of times in the past, and he knew how to dial up looks that CTG couldn't resist biting on. Hence the flea flicker TD bomb.
There's absolutely zero reason to show more dimensions to our offense than is necessary to win/control the game. Not until we have to.

I'm waiting for a pass from the wildawg formation.

I agree..somewhat.. the TE procduction is a direct result of Fromm not being used to having a great TE... Eason loved hitting the TE and Cheney has had huge success with TEs in the past ... I actually think as Jake matures he will hit the TE more often

I was thinking we threw a lot of passes out in the flat to our fullbacks last season.

Swift threw one, I believe, but was pressured and threw it short.
I'm not a huge wild dog fan, as I think it is a "trick" formation, but we have done ok with it. Didn't Chubb score out of it this past Saturday?

The second TD pass to Nauta against Moo State had three receivers open, including a FB. Seems like it was designed to have him be an option.

We have scored at least 3 TDs if not more with Chubb and Sony from a goaline wild dawn formation.

Have Chubb and Michel been on the field at the same time yet (besides the Wilddawg)?
Wouldn't mind seeing that. Not as a regular thing, but as a change of pace look every now and then.

I don't remember.
I have seen several plays with 2 tailbacks. But in my memory, one is usually Swift. It wouldn't surprise me to have Sony and Chubb in a few plays this season.

After watching the LSU game we would be crazy not to run the jet sweep against FL early and often. If we have a counter/fake to that where we go the other way or pass it we may not need another play.

Now that we have a qb capable of making pre- snap reads and changing plays, we shouldn't have to get too cute to beat Florida.
Im more concerned about containing their running back, forgot his name, Williams maybe? They have a good one back there. Reminds me of matt jones.

I'm pretty sure that we are going as vanilla as neccessary to win comfortably. Especially on defense. We hardly blitzed at all in the first half against Vandy. Kirby got pissed, and we were in their QBs back pocket the rest of the game
