Response was so low that Executive Travel canceled its Gator Bowl tour to Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday, the first time in 27 years the Lincoln company has canceled a tour when the Cornhuskers played in a bowl game.

Steve Glenn, CEO of Executive Travel, said low demand and high prices forced the consolidation into the one charter and then that arrangement collapsed.
quote:
"It would appear all the Pelini drama has disenfranchised a large number of people who followed the Huskers every year," Glenn, a former Husker player, said in an earlier email. "Despite the bad news I hope the Huskers play well and I so want them to win the game."

Prolly a lot of the S. Ga. Dawgs who can daytrip it will go. Tix should be had for $15-$20...
If it'd been Michigan I prolly woulda been there, that's the main reason I went last year, to see UGA-Neb. been there done that...oh well...
You see where Duke is giving every student a ticket?... Nice move...

My guess is it'll be between the attendance of the Liberty bowl and our usual attendance.
And that was cool by Duke and probably their best bet at showing the bowls that they will bring people if they are invited to more top notch bowls.

that is the only enticing thing about this game is its an hour away for myself. However... tailgating will commence as usual.

Not surprised. Nebraska fans don't want to travel across the country to a mediocre bowl for a rematch against a team they played last year.

Nebraska used to have the most loyal fanbase in all of college football, if not all of sports.
Bo Pelini has really had an impact there, it seems.

For the tuition they charge those kids, they should give them a lot more.

From what I understand, a rich duke alum bought the student tix and gave them to the students. I don't think duke actually gave all students free tix unless I just read it wrong.

Im very close but wasn't going because of the team we are playing...AGAIN, but for a 20 spot I may reconsider. Must be on the 50 yard line about 5 rows up.
