“We just need to be consistent. It’s kind of hard,” Michel said. “We just need to know what we do well and focus in on what we do well. We need to make sure we don’t get away from it.”

Why was it difficult for the coaches to realize this during the game. Yeah we may have still lost but there may have been fewer mistakes resulting in a closer game

Honestly, there wasn't much we could do against that front. Add in the ineffective passing game and we were straight fricked.

Lets hope they figure it out soon. The next 3 games could end up anywhere from 3-0 to 0-3.

Last I checked, Sony was a 19 year old sophomore backup, and he needs to keep his opinions to himself.

I think the coaching staff knew they could keep it close with a conservative game plan and just running it but I think to win they felt they had to take chances and mix it up. Now this all could have (and did) result in getting pounded. The rain really did us in I think. Probably lose ether way though.

really putting your reputation on the line there. Personally, I see us going 3-1 over the next 3 games.

Somehow I think you will be wrong no matter how it shakes out... Numbers, how do they work?

I'm willing to bet Sony's statement was something he heard a coache say. Players are given a book of football cliches. If they use somethihg that is not in the book, it has to have came from a coach. Any deviations will result in punishment.

Here's the sentence from the article right before the one quoted out of context by the OP.........

quote:

For the Georgia running backs, they chalk the dropoff in the rushing game due to a lack of consistency. And Michel and Chubb both put the blame on themselves.

Read both sentences together now..........

quote:

For the Georgia running backs, they chalk the dropoff in the rushing game due to a lack of consistency. And Michel and Chubb both put the blame on themselves. “We just need to be consistent. It’s kind of hard,” Michel said. “We just need to know what we do well and focus in on what we do well. We need to make sure we don’t get away from it.”

Richt's plan for Bama was same as the first four games and he didn't realize that wouldn't work. Boom. End of discussion

I still say if we get behind in a game and need a spark, to put both Chubb and Sony in the backfield together. Or Chubb and KM, with Sony in the split. They can't key on them all.

Are you kidding? You double team the front side and cut the back side on all zone plays. We didn't do any of that well.

Deeprig...you think because Sony is 19 he can't state the obvious that we need to be more consistent and do better? Essentially, that's all he said and every team needs to do that. Keep your opinion to yourself please.

No....not exactly. The need is to be consistently *good*. Being consistent isn't a good thing if you're bad.

Been saying this since before the game last week and will continue to do so. Some combination of those 3 just seems like a no brainer as just a different wrinkle.

Some combination of those 3 on thei field should be 90% of our offense. I get the whole fresh legs concept but we need these guys on the field.
