Beef brisket is far superior to pulled pork in EVERY way

That's fricked up.

I think of beef BBQ as like a foreign cuisine. Like escargot or Italian food.

It's nice to broaden your horizons and try different foods like beef BBQ from other cultures some times. But real BBQ is, was, and will always be all about the pig.

I favor the pig, but damned if the brisket at Franklin or John Muelller in Austin, TX didn't almost change my mind.

When in Rome...

Beef brisket is outstanding BBQ.

Pulled pork is also outstanding.

I don't compare the two, I just enjoy the signature Q of the state/area I am in at the time.

Old time pit BBQ in San Angelo Tx (birthplace of Greg Maddux) has the best brisket I've had to this Day.

I have had amazing pulled pork from a lot of places around Ga and the Carolina's but Neelys (sp?) is the best I've had. Admittedly, I wasn't in Memphis long enough to try the places listed in the Memphis BBQ thread, just judging by what I've eaten.
