The best part of RD ran down his sisters chin...

But... I'm still not sold on Kirby and was really critical when he was even being considered for the UGA job. At the time (And still kinda believe) UGA was trying to find a cheap filppa house hoping to make a sizable profit.

Maybe he'll be LSU's savior.

Amazing - arguably the hottest name in college coaching loses one game and he sucks.

If you don't think he has done one helluva job at Houston you are an idiot.

Sadly, that would kinda fit with our AD's modus operandi.

RD is a pathetic swine who isn't fit to wear the red and black or pull for UGA. Since he has no credibility and nobody here can stand the Richt loving idiot, he needs to take a hike and never come back. I better not ever see him celebrating any future success while Smart is here.

Then again, can't say anything after we almost lost to Nicholls at home

People probably don't care (or don't know) that the Nichols play calling was like a preseason game.

We had the rare opportunity to hide our personnel and offensive identity and play the opponent straight up (to setup opportunities against our future opponents).

With a freshman QB, it makes sense that you don't offer up film to opponents that help them find ways to rattle the 18 year old.

It makes sense that you don't showcase plays that could be beneficial later down the road when the opponent isn't ready for it (passes to Payne, use of the tight ends, motions with McKenzie).

As the Nichols game turned out, we saw how weak we actually were on the offensive line. Straight man-blocking against a D2 opponent sucked because we are undersized. When we tout our players as pound for pound strong guys... we are really saying that we are undersized and average at best.

If recurring posts about the Nichols game helps support some narrative on the board, then so be it. Like I said, many probably don't care or aren't smart enough to understand that game.

Georgia is young. They have some pieces. Where UGA has failed in recent years is winning the recruiting battle with other SEC teams for quality depth talent in the trenches. We have recruited pieces but haven't filled the pie. It's already evident that the new coaching staff acknowledges this. Kirby himself alluded to us not being big enough or SEC ready at the line of scrimmage in the spring. At this time, we have some young takent that will get bigger and will mature. But until you can honestly look at the depth chart and really be comfortable with saying "we're 2 deep" along the lines of scrimmage, expect mediocracy.

I agree. We were recruiting for a zone blocking scheme for a couple of years. And not even doing a great job at that (failure at the tackle positions almost annually in recruiting ).

Still... it is sad that we couldn't get push against a D2 opponent. Losing 2 tackles in the offseason without anyone other than Wynn semi-prepared is flat out sad.
