Donnan wasnt gonna be fired until his team didnt show up vs Tech. Richt's job likely rests on that outcome.

If we get beat by Tech yes. He has lost to often to Florida and Tennessee when he should not have done so to lose to Tech this year and survive, in my opinion. If Jim Donnan could have figured out Tech he would probably still be here....and we would have probably won a couple more SEC Championships and possibly played for a a natty or two. Donnan could care less about chacter and moral fiber but the sonofabicth acted like a football coach when it came to losing....he also looked like he hadn't had a bowel movement in several months....meanwhile Mark Richt looks like he has 3 a day every day at exactly the same time....football coaches need to have serious digestive problems that keep them in a constant mood to bite someone's head off and shite down their neckhole...

If we win that game I still think he may leave this season. There are a TON of jobs open that Richt would be a much better fit at at this stage in his career.....VT and even USC east would be interested...and he would be a good fit at either place.

If he doesnt leave this year next year is the end of the road....and there is no doubt. We are going to be in serious rebuilding mode next year it looks to me like and we have seen since 2012 what re-building looks like at UGA. We are looking at Goff type numbers next season I beleive....of course not winning 5 games would be tough as easy as the schedule is.....

I think it depends on the way we finish the year. If we win out or only lose 1 more and win the bowl game, we finish 10-3 or 9-4, and nothing will change.

CMR will talk about how "we ended on a high note" and "next year looks really promising" blah blah blah.

If we go 2-2 CMR stays, but Schotty is gone, and Richt is told privately that we have one year to turn it around or he is gone. He of course will win every game next year, except the Fla one, and then we will miss out on the SEC championship, but go to a New Years 6 game and win. He will then be given a raise, and we will immediately proceed to lose 3 games the next year, and the cycle continues.

If he loses 3 games, I say there is a 50-50 chance he is gone, depending on how our recruiting looks, and how we play in the bowl game, as well as how we lose those games.

If he loses all 4 and we miss a bowl game, he is definitely gone.

Wtf are you all talking about his buyout is less than a mil. There was no buyout extension

Ahh that's right. That said, I still think they'd throw him cash just to do it. He can go build a habitat for humanity with it or something.

I kind of feel like this is it. The mood has turned sad. Much different than the anger in 2010/2011. I don't think you can come back from sad.

Richt stays unless he wants to leave. Schotty is history by end of season. Too many good recruits coming to have a change in HC as much as some would like it.

The day the athletic department lets a select number of 18 year old kids dictate it's future is the day that they should step down. Every year there's going to be a good recruiting class, an elite prospect, etc. Georgia has run through too many of these excuses. Wait on the dream team, there were too many injuries, look at his body of work, we won the east, he just needs new coordinators, etc.

If they keep him, fine, but it better not be because we have a good recruiting class. Because we have supposedly had a lot of those and those prized recruits haven't scored an offensive TD in 23 days and have lost 63-13 to the two other teams filled with great recruits.

That would be hilarious if ya'll got your wish and he was hired by USC east and proceeded to beat the living shite out of us every year until he left. No, that would be more than hilarious.

If we replaced this staff today it would cost the AD 7.6 million. It ain't happening folks.

Richt would be due $66,000 per month through the end of 2019. That’s at least a $3,168,000 buyout for Richt alone. Terminating Richt would also certainly trigger the termination of Schottenheimer ($1,914,400) and likely Pruitt ($2,600,000).

I respectfully disagree. You cannot win championships without top recruits. We are currently recruiting at a level that we have never reached before. A HC change puts that at risk, not just for this year, but for several unless the new coach really knocks it out of the park. We go back to 10 - 20 rankings instead of top 5. And we still don't go to the SECCG.

The only possible change would be to let Pruitt be HC. This would retain most of the defensive recruits, but the QB WR of the world typically want an offensive minded HC.

I would rather fire Schotty and get a proven OC.

Richt can shake hands at the beginning and end of the games and spend the rest of his time handing out water with his wife for all I care. I agree he is not "in the game" for some reason. But don't discount the "running a clean program" "caring about the kids" "putting kids in the NFL" "moms love him" aspects he brings to the reputation for recruiting. I know I am in the minority here, but I really think his leaving does more harm than good.

What is everyone's obsession with Fuente? He beat Ole Miss with Memphis....ok. They also beat the almighty Bowling Green by a fg. He also recently went 3-9 and 4-8 with that team. So basically you want to give a top 10 job to a guy who has had 1 10 win season and this season. Granted he still has to play Houston and Temple. Why don't we just take the Tennessee route and be shite for the next 10 years.

I think it depends on the remainder of our games. If we win out, I'd say Richt has a hot seat and we hopefully get rid of Shotty.

If Richt is here another year. He should fire Schotty, start calling the offense himself again and get a great QB coach and ST coach.

Leaving the last two games was like leaving funerals. The sadness and resignation everywhere in the fan base is on a level I don't even know how to describe.

And what makes it worse for Richt, is that we are about to witness a historic coaching re-shuffle. Twenty or thirty programs will be bringing in new blood at the top. And that's really going to force UGA to look in the mirror....

If you start to think about what it would be like for 25 fan bases to be rallying around their newly hired coaches this winter...and all the optimism that comes with that, it becomes clear that UGA has to do something too.

Just feels like the stars are lining up for change.

Not last ride.

He will remain head coach until the IPF is finished at the very least.

What about Pruitt becoming the head coach and bringing in Mario Christabol as the OC

The Georgia way.

But seriously I don't think he's gone unless we lose 3 out of 4...then he might be gone. Schotty must be fired at years end he has literally done nothing to show he has a clue on how to run an offense.
