I wish he would be himself. Sometimes you see people when they get handed responsibility suddenly change....and try to be something they are not. They try to emulate someone else. When if they'd just be themselves, they'd probably be even better than that person they're trying to mimic..

What gets lost sometimes though is this is kirby's first ever head job, he doesn't know how to run a program other than what he's seen saban do.

Richt was the EXACT same way. Mat drills? Yeah that was from FSU. Hurry up offense? From FSU. Richt called his own plays for 6 years as well because it's all he knew.

My guess is he will as he gets more comfortable. Beyond just being a HC for the first time, the media policy at Alabama really wouldn't let him develop any kind of rapport with any media members that could help him out. That will come.

I think in 6-months when he's not just trying to get by anymore, he'll show a lot more of his personality to the masses.

This thread is about his management style and its shortcomings

With no specifics. Like as what is said, it's vague clickbait.

My first management position sure overwhelmed me for a while and I wasn't on TV every Saturday. Give him time, he'll grow into the job.

I agree that CKS has to learn, and grow just as him asking his players to do,but I was pretty impressed with how he got the team ready after that Cluster-Frick at Mississippi. I was really dreading this past weeks game. Somebody bought into something, because last Saturday was a different Dawgs team. If you think about it,we really should be 2-0 against Ranked teams,we won that game Saturday, all but in the scoreboard, something Sir Richt couldn't say

Chill.

Smart will be fine.

Finebaum says Smart has problems but has a 1st year QB, bad Oline and problems in the front 7.

Well.........?? Smart is on the right track. Patience, we'll get there. The overreaction on this board is just amazing.
