Oh. It's cooler to do both. What a rookie law. Wait I thought it was legal on the beach there?
Posted on 4/2/14 at 9:02 am to olddawg26
It's illegal to have beer on all public beaches in SC.

Maybe we could get some girls to board one of these floating contraptions and spend a day on an uninhabited island and possibly get some sex? This would be ground breaking for our people.

Untrue

Nice try. It's about 60 from both cities.
Very untrue.
The ledge is 44 miles from where I sit now and 72 miles from the marina in Savannah.

olddawg26 It was in a plastic cup. I know this is a new concept because you don't get to do it, but seriously it's no need to get upset and rustled.
Not a new concept. I just don't go to bars that of the calibre to serve drinks in plastic cups.

this thread is way too long considering the topic...

Ladies and gentlemen, the Charleston snobbery. I rest my case.

Ok. 95% of public beaches. Sorry if I missed a couple. Regardless, it's a ridiculous law.

Wouldn't that apply to Georgia too?

And you don't live in Charleston proper. And there are dozens of marinas in Savannah (for those floating do-hickeys), so that's why I said about 60 miles for both.

No. I don't know of any beach in Georgia that doesn't allow alcohol.

There is a difference between drinks being served in a plastic cup and having plastic cups to put your drink in should you choose to walk outside with it.

You are wrong... Look on a map or ask anyone who doesn't king fish...

Just to be clear... You contend that there is a SC state law that says you can't have beer on 90% of SC Beaches?
Are you certain?

There's also a difference between what he thinks (taking our six packs from bar to bar high fiving each other) and being able to have wine (or your drink of choice) in the parks and squares and getting drinks to go. Not only eliminates drunk driving, but you dont have to chug your drink before leaving, simply leave.

Drinking outside prevents drunk driving. I am buying this one...

Yeah I guess that doesn't make sense. Thought I had a concept. Anyways we're in the final round, everyone except peter buck go vote for savannah
