I hate to hear that for RJ.

Hopefully one or more of Wilkerson, Askew, Parrish, Kennar Johnson are ready to contribute. Shaq Jones is another possibility, not sure if he's more of a corner or safety. I know Langley was a freshman last year, but he didn't look quick enough to play cornerback to me.

Don't think so. You can play DB and Receiver in colege. You've got to learn the finer points of both positions first, but it can be done and you can be successful with it. Samuel was asked to play two wildly different positions in RB and LB (the physicality is about the only similarity).

The time is now for Malkom Parrish and Shaq Jones

I just meant the way they are swapping him back and forth. I wouldnt be surprised if he is moved back to offense when we recruit more depth in the secondary. He looked pretty slow for a corner last year.

Agreed. Wish we could see something out of Wilkerson, too. Wish the same for Kennar Johnson as well but given that he has been all but forgotten I don't have a lot of faith.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that

Yeah but we did the same thing with Mitchell in 2012 (from receiver to DB and back to receiver) and have done similar moves with a lot of guys over the years. Samuel's situation sucked because he never really emerged as a RB and the move to LB (which took him an extra RS year to make) was never realized due to attrition at RB in 2011. Langely was headed that route with this RS year but he'll at least get to see meaningful PT at DB again this year and determine what route he wants to go for the following 2 years after.

Not about to. I think we'd see Askew, Parrish, and/or Jones before them.

Hate to hear that. Great kid and he was a special talent in high school, maybe the fastest player that I have ever watched in person at the high school level. Praying that everything works out for RJ.

Coaches don't usually "process" players in mid-season when depth at their position already sucks. I know it's a rarity in college football, but Dawson was a victim of tough discipline.

If by "process", you mean force him out to make room for another scholarship, then Pruitt wouldn't, at least not right now. He could have waited a couple of months and accomplished the same thing without hurting depth.

I've read enough of Stingtalk to understand the psychology of little brothers. Just didn't want to let it go unchallenged on a Georgia board.

that wasn't the same as langley, or samuel. Malcolm is and always has been a WR for us. We moved him to CB for about 2 or 3 games because we absolutely HAD to, and as soon as we got healthy again he moved back. We switched langley and samuel because they were stinking at their original position so we thought "well hell, might as well see if they can do better somewhere else". Not the case with malcolm.
