If one of the QB's doesn't seperate himself from the others. Can't post the article from my phone but will later today. It also goes on to say GL is very sharp, knows the playbook, and the players really respect him. Good d read. Will post later.

I'd be ok with this. I mean it's a tune up game anyway. But a part of me just wants a guy to separate himself in camp. Hopefully that happens

rotating qb's can be a positive thing...if used correctly....if it is a blatant passer vs. rusher type situation though, defenses will eat it up...say BR is the thrower and FB the one who uses his feet, it will be evident what type of plays we will be trying to run when each one is out there...I think if both do similar thing while each maintaining their own certain threat so that defenses have to respect both, it could work...now if they are just trying to see who is going to make the best game time decisions against ULM to determine who to use going forward, I'm ok with it...but once again, they should be using the same plays for both qb's in order to see who leads the offense better...

where did you see that so I can search it?

I hate the 2 QB system and I'm not sure I've ever seen it pulled off well against good teams (maybe Mizzou did it against OK state).
I'll be fine with it for the first game, but it can just ruin any rhythm a QB is trying to get in. If it's just Bauta for goal line situations that's fine, but of we're actually rotating series I want this to stop before the Vandy game.

He didn't say anything at all to that effect in his press conference yesterday. He pretty much said the starter will be determined by fall practice. I think you are full of bullshite.

Plus, Lambert didn't look good yesterday. Maybe just some first day jitters.

No he didn't. He said he hopes to have 1 by the end of fall practice, but talked a fair amount at the end about the potential of running a 2 QB system. Essentially, he doesn't know how it's gonna play out or by when, supposedly.

Who said it was from a press conference? It was from an article dipshit.

"I think the greatest advantage to a two-quarterback system would be if you had two really dramatic differences in style as a player," Richt said. "If a team has to prepare for this guy and it's totally different than preparing for the other guy, I think that can cause issues for defenses."

If no clear starter emerges, Georgia could have a two-quarterback plan for the Sept. 5 opener against Louisiana-Monroe.
It doesn't say Richt "will" do this, but it's a possibility just like the OP suggest.

The reality is, at quarterback, until you get in that game and start playing, you really don’t know,” Richt said. “You do all this stuff (in camp) and a guy could win the job and then get out there and struggle. The next guy might just go in and flourish. You just don’t know

Thread title says otherwise.
Can you also link the entire article with link for context?

In his press conference, Richt was asked about how he's used two quarterbacks in the past, and he spoke a little bit on those experiences.
SOunds like the quotes are taken from that conversation and nowhere close to the context of planning to do it again this fall yet.
Typical kneehigh mouth-breather thread.

The quotes he has given were word-for-word what Richt said at the end of the press conference yesterday. Like I said in my earlier post, he talked about how a 2 QB system COULD work, but also said how it could be detrimental to a QBs rhythm.
And the OP's title is TRASH. "PLANS to use"...link something where Richt said he PLANS to use, not its a possibility....

Yeah, and since it was open practice, lot of reports coming out that GL looked like shite...

it wasn't referring to his practice yesterday

The media viewing time on Tuesday, while longer-than-usual at 10 periods, still didn’t include any 11-on-11, and the 7-on-7 drills were pretty basic. So it’s hard to make any definitive evaluations on the three candidates based on this one practice. At least for the media.

Still confused about this misleading title.

Looks like it is this article.

If no clear starter emerges, Georgia could have a two-quarterback plan for the Sept. 5 opener against Louisiana-Monroe.
Richt said his only ''true rotation'' at quarterback lasted only one game - his debut as Georgia's coach in 2001. That structured plan to rotate David Greene and Cory Phillips ended quickly with Greene winning the job.
Richt has played two quarterbacks at other times, including when D.J. Shockley played behind Greene in 2002-04. But Greene was the set starter and Shockley's playing time varied.
''I think the greatest advantage to a two-quarterback system would be if you had two really dramatic differences in style as a player,'' Richt said. ''If a team has to prepare for this guy and it's totally different than preparing for the other guy, I think that can cause issues for defenses.''
Otherwise, Richt prefers to have one quarterback win the job.
''It's just hard getting the rhythm and staying in a rhythm as a quarterback,'' he said. ''I found that it's better to have one guy doing it.''
