Quayvon Hicks was in crutches at practice today, with wrist surgery ending Brendan Douglas' season, we are left with

Sony
Marshall
Turman (who the hell knows if he's healthy)
Crowder (redshirting)

Who cares if we burn Tae Crowder's redshirt at this point? When was the last time a RB stayed for their RS Senior season anyway. With the talent we look to bring in over the next couple of season's at RB Tae looks like an inevitable transfer anyways.

So you want to burn Crowder's redshirt, for a pretty much pointless game in a 9-3 season?

Am I actually reading that correctly?

If it saves Sony some fatigue and possible injury, then hell yes.

Like I said, when was the last time we had a running back stay 5 years here? We are looking to bring in Holyfield and another high profile guy this year, and 2 top 5 RB's in 2017 in McFarland and Sermon. Crowder will not spend 3 years much less 5 in Athens

Damn I completely forgot about Marshall. Easy for one to forget him even being on the team the way he was used this year. But he'll most likely have "knee and ankle" injury a few days prior to the game anyhow

Don't count Tae as a transfer yet. I played against him in high school for 3 years. He is going to be a stud. He's about 6-3 218 and can fly. Just give him a year or two.

Already said he's foregoing his senior year.

He is a senior already. Listed as one all year.

I thought bowl games don't count against RS seasons.

I never looked. I just remember reading Richt saying Marshall was foregoing his final year of eligibility to go to the NFL.

He's been listed as a senior, but he could have taken another year if he wanted to, likely thanks to his injury issues in 13 and 14.

I'd rather throw a walk on guy out there than burn a redshirt on a kid in a boring bowl game. Think Crowder can be good with some added weight

Maybe AJ can get some playing time. Did he play any this year? I know preseason we all thought for sure he would get some playing time, at least late in the game.

preseason, i was hoping he never saw a snap. i would now be cool with him playing in the bowl game but find it relatively unlikely

True, but others was speaking highly of the guy for some reason. Those were saying how great our Depth was at RB and how it was better than all other schools, yada yadda yada. These guys have mud all over their face now.

I hope he does play so we can see what he can do. Some people are just gamers and don't do as well in practice when the stakes are much more lower.
