Jesus Christ. Yall are grown men calling a 20 year old names when you were on his leg a month ago. Yeah he made a mistake and let us down but do you think he purposely wanted to anger Georgia fans? He has always wanted to win, and shows it on the field. He messed up with this but not once has he gotten in trouble legally. He has been one of the best players in UGA history and we still get him back to help us make a run at this. We can win these next games without him for sure and I think it would be pretty pitiful if Georgia fans didn't support him when he came back after all the games he won for us.

I'm pissed off at Gurley......FOR Gurley. On his behalf......Or at least on behalf of the future potentially grown-up mature Gurley that will live with painful regret and shame about this. If he has half a brain.....

I think a big part of the reason you're seeing this reaction is disappointment. We've had good players before that got in trouble and it wasn't even remotely surprising. Going into this season, I felt like our backfield was an area that we didn't have to worry about off the field issues at all.
And I agree with Jefferson, I do feel bad for Gurley that his reputation at UGA is now tainted (doesn't mean he's a bad person) when he had the opportunity to be up there with 34, the chance to be a legend forever. And he blew it. Yea, the rule is stupid but at the end of the day it's a rule that he knew he was supposed to follow and that he knew the consequences for breaking.
I wish him nothing but the best in the future and I hope he dominates the NFL. Hell, I hope he comes out with a fury once he is reinstated. But, it doesn't change my disappointment in the fact that I thought he was different. And no, I'm not saying he's a bad person at all.

Honestly, I don't really care. We are all dawg fans here just sharing often divergent opinions. I just found it a bit ironic that someone who joined this board in Sept. with 76 posts would be commenting about non-regular posters.

I agree. A 20 yr old kid did something stupid. It sucks for fans but isnt the first...or won't be the last...time this happens. We've all done stupid shite and gotten caught....its just this is a little more public.
It sucks for a Gurley...but maybe this experience will show him that there are implications if you do something dumb. A lesson I think many on this board haven't learned yet. Just because other people my get away with shite isn't a reason to do it yourself.
We'll be fine and hopefully TGII will be ready for Auburn. I'm shocked at how many drama whores we have on this board.

I agree. It does piss me off when people are antagonistic about it. I don't get any of the ill will that people have showed towards gurley.
