I love having the stable of QBs and RBs we have. We all know the starter at QB and RB this year. So what are your thoughts for the next couple of years?

Here are mine: Ramsey versus Park. I have watched the highlight reels of both. I have also seen Ramsey play in HS and talked to him last year. I think Park has more talent from the tapes and while I like Ramsey, I don't know if he has the right killer instinct. I think Park, until the new stud comes to town.

Chubb versus Sony - So easy to compare to Gurley and Marshall, which would make Chubb the starter. From the tapes, I noticed something about each. Chubb almost always carries the ball in the same arm regardless of where he is on the field. This could lead to turnovers unless he is coached to securely exchange it to the outside. Sony decelerates in the last few yards and is at a stop by the time he is one yard deep in the end zone. Again, should be easy to coach to finish with faster players after him.

I love them all, my guesses are Park and Chubb.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if Park has it in him to be truly manage a game. He's great in practice, always is, but then falls to pieces in big games. HS State Championship, Shrine Bowl, etc, practice reports are raving about him but then he gets into the game and performs horribly. I don't think he's mentally tough enough, at least right now, to win the job. I think it'll be a battle between Bauta and Ramsey, and we might see a 2-QB rotation take place.

Didn't mean to exclude Faton. I just never watched his tapes. Obviously, it appears there is less to Park than I gathered from his highlight tapes. Good things to know. Thanks

I was impressed with Bauta from this past G day, and didn't see quite what I was expecting from Ramsey other than his howitzer arm. That said they both have another year ahead of them to battle it out. Given Bauta's abilities to scramble and run the offense a different way I would love for Bobo to rotate him in some this year to see what he's got.

I really like Fauta too. Seems like a really smart player. It will come down to him and Ramsey next year and I think they both play. I think Ramsey beats him out but Bobo gets Fauta some touches as a change of pace type guy. He's been getting more creative the last few years and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get creative with 10.

I am not sure exactly how our future at RB and QB will end up in the next two years.

But holy FRICK are we stacked at those two position.

I mean - holy. FRICK.

These are good times.

Faton next year and Park the year after. It looked to me like Park was more prepared than Ramsey at the G-Day game this spring. I don't know which RB but I would imagine Chubb. He has speed and great vision, cuts well...I can't imagine Sony is going to be better. They both look solid.

I like everyone we have bc they're dawgs, but I don't see Faton starting like so many are thinking.

I believe it's Ramsey's to lose. I don't really know how early we're going to try to throw Eason into the mix, but if he's really as Stafford-like as people claim then I'd imagine he'll be contending his FR year, since we probably won't have him 4 years (again, if he's as good as people hope).

BR will start...they have been grooming him to do so for about 5 years now. Hell he comitted when he was a sophomore....he comes from a Wing T type offense but as was stated, he has a freaking cannon...he will improve and win the job in my opinion...wouldn't mind a Ramsey starter with Bauta sprinkled in some, but Brice is the man next few seasons...Park will never unseat Brice if BR wins the job next year...might as well transfer or take a redshirt...just my .02...

(i am a bit of a homer though)

Yeah you've shown that before when it comes to BR, but I don't think you're incorrect.

I have a buddy that works on the team, and he told me in the spring it wasn't even close between 2nd and 3rd string. Said BR might even get into some games in non-mopup duty. Now granted, that was the spring and I'm sure quite a bit has changed (haven't talked to him in a few months), so I'm not saying he's pushing HM or anything. I'm just saying...I don't think the battle is quite as close as some are saying, and if I had to guess RIGHT NOW, I'd count on BR starting in 2015.

It will be Brice until the new kid comes to town. Park and Bauta won't start unless there are injuries.

I saw Park a lot in High School. BIG, Good Arm, but he threw a load of interceptions.

Ramsey and Sony/Chubb. They'll split carries pretty much equally imo. I actually like Sony a little bit better as an all-around back but it's too close to call.

It would be nice to see a qb that is pretty mobile. I know A Murry did a lot of running early in his career and it adds an extra dimension that the D will have to be aware of. Thats why I hope it is F Bauta, but whoever is the best should start.

Rb's, I think both will get splits in carries but I think Michel is being underrated on here. Yeah Chubb is a stud, but Michel seems to be the more complete back and quicker. I think both will thrive in our offense, especially with us recruiting Olinemen at a higher level.
