Why? Were they not paying attention two weeks ago? Do they think Ole Miss is that much better than UGA? I figured you'd at least hear more "experts" divided on the game, but so far, not seeing/hearing it.

They're tired of being wrong when they pick Georgia.

For the record...I think we blow Alabama out. Like a three touchdown arse whipping.

No one thinks we can beat Bama and that is fine. We will find out who is man enough on Saturday. A guy in my office is convince we cannot run on Bama at all. Like, we will not run on them and I just said we have a senior OL and 2 of the best backs in the country so if we can't run on them no one can so it will be seperation Saturday. I think we can and will run it on them effectively but we shall see. If any team can make us struggle you would think it would be Bama and their 500 5 star recruits but I'm not scared of them. I think our team can win and I refuse to buy in that we don't even belong on the field with Bama.

Exactly. This is a good thing. If I were Richt I'd pipe all that noise towards our players.

One thing about a team like Bama and a bunch of 5 star guys is that they're probably not used to losing. They think Ol Miss was a fluke and they expect to win out.

If we can jump up on them and do some damage we'll see a bunch of lips sticking out and hands on hips - they may not be able to deal with it.

UGA on the other hand - we're not encumbered with such arrogance.

I like your confidence Floyd. This is our game. While they (the Bama D) key on Chubb Sony, Keith, and Mr. Douglas will teach them that we have more than one back. Run first by committee, establish the run as a threat, then open the play action passing game. Meanwhile our D shuts down their mediocre at best offense.

We're always close to them on front line talent but have been way short on depth in the past...

One of the biggest differences between the '12 UGA-Bama SECCG game & this game might be this...

quote:

In 2012 UGA had signed 84 players from 2009-2012 during the oversigning period. Bama signed 103. This time around UGA has signed 102 from 2012-2015, Bama has signed 102 as well...

We got beat in the 4th qtr in '12 cause of our depth & not being able to substitute to rest 1st stringers. Hopefully we have the depth to do it tomorrow & not get worn down...

If we do not pooch kick or get tricked on a fake punt - we win.

Ole miss was up by 20 in the 4th quarter. Alabama got the ball with 3 and a half minutes left and trailed by 6. Don't expect them to quit unless it's in a consolation bowl.

Most "expert" predictions I've seen have georgia winning the game though, so I'm really not sure whom OP is referring to

That was once...if it happens to them again they may not respond the same way. Especially if it's raining like hell on them.

Most Bama fans I know have no question UGA can win this game. Lots chalked it up as a loss before the season started. Don't like to lose, but as long as it isn't UcheaT or the barn, the sun will still come up...eventually

From what I've seen only about one in three pundits are picking Georgia. These are the same people who had Auburn as a world beater.

For the record, I expect us to win by two TDs, possibly more. You can bookmark that. I'm pretty damned confident that we will run just fine and the short to medium passing game will keep the Tide off-balance.

I just really doubt that happens, that they roll over and quit. A&M jumped out to a 20 point lead and Bama had a chance to win the game on the final play. They've come from behind and won the game in the final seconds the last two trips to Baton Rouge...you can find some flaws in Alabama under Saban but fielding quitters isn't one of them. If Georgia makes Alabama quit then I would expect Georgia will win the playoffs.

You should be very happy, everything I hear and read from those folks it is Bama almost exclusively - not that it makes a shite.

My much bigger concern and most are not talking about it. Bama turned the ball over 5 flipping times and still stayed close to Ole Piss. Their turnover average per game over the last 4 years is 1 to 1.5 a game with 3 of those 4 years being 1 a game average. If you take away the Ole Piss game, they average 1 a game for 2015.

We are going to have to play very, very well.

As I said above I think our quality of depth will give us a chance tomorrow. It's something Bama is known for & something UGA has been developing the last 2 years...

Bottom line both staff's coach a similar game & UGA's 1st team talent is comparable to Bama on both sides of the ball. UGA is closer to Bama in quality depth(still behind but a hella lot closer than in '12)than we've ever been. Cliche, but turnovers in the bad weather will prolly decide it IMO...

I think it's gonna be an awesome game, 2 power teams on "O", 2 of the best minds in CFB on "D"....

All that said we'll prolly lose 35-14...
