This guy is a teacher/leader, hands down. Listening to his presser, he explained what he's about and how he coaches in a way that anyone would understand. Exciting times ahead for this defense.

Likewise. One of the best defenses I have seen all year was Stanford shutting down Oregon's high-powered offense the last 2 seasons. They don't do anything fancy with schemes moving players around before the ball is snapped, etc. They just line up, play tight man to man coverage on receivers, load the box, stop the run and get pressure on the QB.
I am so sick of our DB's giving 10 yard cushions to receivers only to have the pass thrown underneath and then miss tackles for big yardage. If we don't have DB's who can stay with the better receivers then we need to recruit better DB's.

What was all that talk a day ago in the 68-page KirbyWatch thread.....about how the coordinator couldn't be officially announced for 2 weeks because of some state rules?

The first loss (I'm guessing Clemson) everyone of y'all will be ready to fire this guy (though, it will most likely be on offensive issue that loses the game for you).

I like the smirk from Pruitt when Richt said he doesn't even know what uncomittable offers mean. Obviously a shot at Bama and them.
It's gonna be interesting to see the head to head battles CPJ engages Kirby for certain recruits.

The problem with that is that your record wasn't much better - top-10 recruiting classes every year, nothing to show for it. You should beat us. You should beat us stupid every year, but it's generally close and you haven't won anything since 2005.

While you make an excellent point that beating tech is "nothing" (
), the rest of your post is typical tech delusional idiocy. We were less than five yards away from a national title just last year. And this year, when it was clear things weren't right, we made a change that the rest of the football world agrees is brilliant.
Meanwhile, tech keeps the same old failure, while your latest savior QB leaves early to go somewhere, anywhere, that isn't tech.
