The defense had a mean and cussy guy last year... I think this is bullshite. If players are pissed, it is because they are not getting playing time or feel they are being overlooked by the new staff.

This sounds like a half truth to cover for the fact that Smart is borderline losing the team. At least the veterans.

I don't give a frick whose players they are...Kirbs is getting paid millions to coach this team this year and he needs to figure out a way to get buy in... If there are a few rotten apples... Deal with them, but this reeks of excuses... Good head coaches have proven to get buy in from inherite teams. Kirbs has to be a head coach this year... He doesn't need to win it all, but he needs to be a coach and a leader... This is 100% on th head coach... No excuses.

Very possible. The second he took the job he's been publicly bad mouthing the roster, and players will start to take exception to it if it doesn't cool down at some point, especially if it's coming from a brand new HC.

Was he bad-mouthing the roster or bringing deficiencies to light that the previous regime would never discuss?

I think the most likely explanation is that it's just bullshite.

Chubb needs to sit for at least 3 weeks, his 4.45 speed is long gone and he is now our least explosive RB. Smart and crew need to protect him, he has a NFL future and it would make me sick if he was Lattimore'ed.

So basically he actually making them work?

Didn't Pruitt have problems with this same issue, too?

Sadly, we don't have a drug for silicovaginosis yet.

Sure we do, as this excerpt from our clinical trials shows:

Several people on multiple UGA sites have said that the upperclassmen are not taking to the new staff well. Basically, they don't like that Kirby cusses every other word at practice and they feel like he is working them too hard. That's been the gist of all those posts. Apparently the younger guys don't have much of an issue with it, but the older guys don't like the change and it's leading to some friction between the upperclassmen and the coaches.

I have have been wondering if this is going on for a couple of weeks - and will there reach a time when the upperclassmen quit on him (Kirby).

Seems to me that most have already quit. These few that don't want to work will be gone sooner or later and that's when the culture will change. Players like L.Carter who clearly doesn't want to put in the work to be great can't get gone fast enough. Its a two to three year process folks, we knew this before the season ever started.

We got a clear look at the first-team defense today where things looked little different than they did last week. Deandre Baker and Malkom Parrish were the cornerbacks. Aaron Davis and Dominick Sanders were the safeties and Maurice Smith was at STAR. Neither Quincy Mauger or Juwuan Briscoe were with the first team.

The second team was also a little surprising. With that group true freshmen Mecole Hardman and Tyrique McGhee were at cornerback and Rico McGraw was at STAR. At safety there were two guys working at each position with Mauger and Reggie Wilkerson on one side and Kirby Choates and Jarvis Wilson on the other.Briscoe was in a regular jersey but didn't participate with either the first team or the second team.

One thing that has jumped out the last couple of days is how much louder and more demonstrative Mel Tucker has been. He's normally doesn't yell much but he has done plenty of that the last couple of days.

Those are the same thing. If you hear you're not very talented every time your coach opens his mouth, how long do you think it would take for you to just say frick that guy?

Do y'all actually think things through before you type or do you just run with whatever thought enters your mind? Jesus Christ...

I usually think about it but the Trigga comment just popped into my mind.

I didn't work it to come out to 666 or anything but I still thought it was ok...
