I heard from reliable sources that Bama fans had JT infected because they know he is the only QB who can beat them.

How much of the shot or booster’s “success” is actually related to an inoculated person still contracting Alpha or Delta Covid, overcoming it & developing natural immunity, but later, science is like — “See! You survived Omicron better bc of the booster! Boosters work! Hey, look, the new variant Pi — let’s booster up, again! Cha-ching! Oops, did I say that out loud?”

The boosters started getting pushed when they realized that the vaccine wasn't going to be something like a polio vaccine where you get the shot and you're good for decades. Actually they probably did know that, since they knew there could be endless COVID variants. But once they started to realize that the vaccine effect dropped a lot after only 6 months, and the first two types could be serious, they probably figured it was the thing to do. (Not to mention providing whole new wave of money for pharmaceutical companies).

But where's it end? Well, flu shots gets pushed every year. This year's version works okay against the strains they predicted would be common this winter. But they were wrong (again). It's a guessing game. There was just an outbreak study where out of something like 800 people who had gotten the flu shot this year, around 600 of them still got flu....because the flu vaccine was a fail this year. There's four main types of flu, but the strains change constantly.

I think this will eventually head to a situation where they come up with a seasonal COVID vaccine to push on everyone...and it will be just like the flu shot...a gamble whether it's even going to have much benefit. Especially once COVID is down to a mild illness.

They definitely did know that because they’ve attempted and failed to create SARS vaccines in the past and were never successful. This is not a vaccine, it’s a therapeutic. With a real vaccine case numbers decrease instead of increase by 300%.

So are they saying it was a false positive?

I guess it depends what you mean by a real vaccine. The flu vaccine is a real vaccine; it's just a crappy vaccine, since the industry takes its best shot at predicting the mutations that will be around about a year ahead of time. Over the years, the vaccine has only been 35-40% effective. Meaning, if you get it, you're 35-40% less likely to get flu. Some years it's better; some years it's only like 20% effective.

Basically, flu vaccines aren't that effective but some feel that they're better than nothing.

These Covid vaccine makers are going to go the same route. They'll probably come up with an annual shot that works for several variants and try to tweak it every year. Nice long-term money maker for Pharma, drug stores, doctor's offices - anyplace that distributes it.

But we don't shut down life anymore over routine influenza variants and it's time to stop hyping up the number of new daily Omicron cases and limiting life activities - unless you have serious health problems. If you have serious health problems, you probably would be careful anyway.
