Parking for Tech game: Stub Hub or wing it?

So I've never bought parking for a game until GA/FL and it was lovely. I've always just driven down and parked my car wherever I could or stayed at a friends. Don't know any current students now and with it being a nooner I wonder if I should drop the $50 for parking at north campus parking deck or just do this shite live?

If you're getting there around 8-8:30 you'll find plenty of $20 lots downtown around Hull St/Washington Street areas.
$50 is way too much to pay for parking anywhere in Athens, IMO.

That's what I was thinking too but I am curious as to how much I am overpaying for that. Is peace of mind worth it?
Kind of mad at myself because there was $30 parking online for North Campus deck. Tons of it. I got sloppy and missed out.

If you are not doing any cooking ( Tailgaiting ) ... just park at one of the parking decks... they are all walking distance from the stadium... and free on game day... unless something has changed... you can park at the East Campus parking deck or the Intramural fields and they will bus you to the game... ALSO free...

I used to just go find a free space on East Campus. If yall think I can swing that by 9-10am I'd do it for sure. Never actually parked in one of their decks earlier.

You could get into the intramural field lot for sure... then just catch the bus.... no problem at all... and easy on the wallet

The public deck on S. Thomas just S. of Broad St. is only $20 & a 10 min. walk to Sanford...

I've always found parking for $20 downtown regardless of game or time.
