He will likely land on his feet somewhere out West. Heck if Charlie Strong and Kevin Sumlin continue to struggle I would not be surprised to see Kelly land at UT or A&M

My guess at this point is Texas possibly sees he is available and if he shows interest, they dump Strong and hire him. If he shows no interest, they stick with Strong. A&M is a possibility, but I don't see them with Kelly, for some reason. Just doesn't seem like a fit. Not sure why. Just a gut feeling.

My guess he goes to the Titans. Franchise needs a big name coach, QB Mariotta, and a young team. Seems like a good fit.

Oregon had a very solid defense while he was there.

Are you being serious? If not, go look at their D rankings. Never better than 15th, nationally. Usually not in the top 30 or so.

Considering their offense was on and off the field faster than just about any other, their defense was good. That's not the kind of team that's ever going to have a top 5 defense. They gave up less points than we did for two of the four years Kelly was there but they averaged 45 or so points on offense while he was there too.

They played a Pac-12 schedule for those two years also. Are you suggesting that CCK would avg 45 pts playing an SEC schedule? If so Bama should fire Saban and hire Kelly before AU gets a shot at him. CCK would not be as successful in the SEC with the same coaching style that he had at OR. He would have more emphasis on D and have to have bigger, faster players on that side of the ball because his offenses would not be nearly as prolific playing an SEC schedule.........unless he landed a job in the SECE.

You have no idea how successful he would be.

Urban's system worked. Malzahn's works with the right players. No reason Chip's wouldn't.

You trying to say the SEC had better offenses than the PAC did in 2009 and 2010?

So you think Kelly could avg 45 pts in the SEC?

Just thank God he wasn't fired earlier and was scooped
up by an SEC school.

Yes,he would kick arse in the SEC...there's not one reason he wouldn't.

I'm sure there's a way he couldn't succeed but I can't think of one.
