well, they have things like several snow plows, sand and salt depots and they start dealing with the streets hours before it starts. AT least ATL has the excuse that it hardly ever happens. DC was a total clusterfrick all winter long because they never bothered to plow the side roads so you ended up driving over a 2 ft ice floe.

They don't know about that down here, black ice and snow drifts can take a muffler out.
This is a great snow, note# no sleet / hail mix involved.
I almost miss my ergonomic snow shovel, still have a brush and a can of deicer in the truck.

Snowing here in the Destin Florida area. Been sleeting for hours now getting some snow flurries.
