I had about 1.8 inches in Douglasville overnight and still coming down lightly.

I don't miss Georgia at all, but it sucks you guys have been going through a big drought. We've had the wettest 3 months on record here...

Think it helped tremendously here in Rabun - The skies have been smoke free all day - we're experiencing a break in the rain at the moment at it's a very nice fall day - first in quite a while.

We had a major rainstorm in North Alabama last night/this morning. I measured 3.25" of rain in my back yard at 7 am and it's still lightly raining. Tornadoes hit several communities. 3 killed. We lost power in the early morning hours. Cooked bacon and eggs on the propane grill and made coffee. Power came back on about 9:30 am.
