That's a broad assumption. Not all used cars are put on the market because of issues. I've personally sold or traded somewhere around 12 or 13 cars and all of those were perfectly fine. I just like to change things up from time to time.

And seriously, you'd drop new car money into a depreciating asset? That says a lot.

2011's and 2012's coming off 3 year leases with low miles, perfectly good cars.

Also repo's of newer cars are generally in good mechanical condition.

Hopefully you are a USAA member and you financed it through them. Call them and ask for advice.
