Golf magazine just listed 2 courses(Oconee and Great Waters) at Reynolds Lake in the top 100 in the U.S.for 2016. Anyone played these or the other courses in the area?

Im playing Innsbruck in November so I might try some others while Im up that way. How about Achasta in Dahlonega?

I played a couple of the courses when I worked at the Reynolds Plantation Marina when I was in college. They were all good courses to me but then again I suck something awful when it comes to playing golf. To me the hardest course out there was Reynolds Landing and a couple of people who were pretty good at golf agreed. I think the National course was the newest one at the time I was there and people seemed to gravitate to it. I has been about 9 years since I worked there so a lot has changed. Harbor Club and Cuscowilla were decent courses as well.

Achasta is a great track. I played in a PGA Tour qualifier there back when the AT&T was still at Sugarloaf. Jack Nicklaus course that is straightforward and was in excellent shape. In college I played the Lake Oconee courses for the Linger Longer Championship and they are all pretty good..best one IMO is The Oconee(the 18th from the tips is a great hole).

Its a good 2.5 hr drive from where you're staying to Reynolds Plantation. If I were you I would stop otw up or down and plan on staying overnight. Beautiful place though, y'all will enjoy it.

Achasta and Chattahoochee are top notch and both are on Highway 60 about 8 miles apart. Chicopee Woods is another nice course but it's on the south side of Gainesville. All three are a notch or two above Innsbrook.
