Nashville is way nice than Knoxville, but like everyone else has posted, the stadiums are very different.

Our most fun away game was the game at Colorado. Other than the loss.

I've seen that, Oklahoma State and Arizona State mentioned on this thread. I have a feeling 2017 in South Bend will trump all of these.

Go to knoxville.

The whole point of the trip should be the game, right? Otherwise it's just a bunch of dudes out for a night on the town. Yeah nashville is obviously a better town, but you can get a good meal and get drunk at a bar in any city in America practically. The focal point should be the football. You will be a lot more excited for knoxville (no matter how hard you psych yourself up, you simply aren't going to be mentally fired up playign vandy in a half empty stadium), plus it'll give you a good place to cross of your list. Cool setting, big matchup, big stadium, etc.

It's not even a tough choice IMO, go to knoxville.

We are leaning towards Knoxville right now just gotta check on the handicap seating. My brothers in a wheelchair and as bad as it may sound we get great seats and he loves it! Usually we are right by the bench or close to the field. Just trying to make memories that we can share together. The Tennessee matchup should be a huge game and we owe them

There's no on campus tailgating. Did you know that? My sons and I plan on being there.

And ergo, no alcoholic beverages allowed on campus. So ditch your drink before you walk to the game, although you'll probably be OK unless you're making a scene.

Had a blast on the trip to Columbia (Mo) in '12...not a huge stadium but big enough, tail gating was awesome and the fans went out of their way to mmake sure you were having a good time...plus I stayed in St. Charles and did some gambling.

Knoxville ain't bad...been there 3 times BUT seating totally sucks and some of the fans were just complete dickheads at the bars before and after the game.

Haven't been since they remodeled,so it may be in better shape.

Several Colorado fans cursed and threw beer on my grandson at that game. I asked security to stop them and was told to leave if I didn't like it.

You think that's bad huh? Imagine being a poor defenseless Auburn fan in Sanford Stadium getting spat on by the heathen bulldawg masses last Fall

Only been to Columbia, parked by a run down baseball stadium, walked 2 miles past bums and old stores to what seemed like a stadium in the middle of a factory parking lot. A few fans got trashy, especially after.

Probably won't go back.

It was loud, but I've heard Sanford much louder.
