What are the practical uses for this?
Fashion statement, but all watches are, really.
Gps and water proof, and a glorified Fitbit?
Any of you own one? What's the selling point?

how in teh world would it be possible to conveniently text on such a small surface?

so the "texting" feature of the apple watch is just holding it up to your face and talking into it?

It's got a number of pre-written short responses you can use to text as well. I use mine a lot, but I am often in situations where I can't pull out my phone.

If I bought one, how could I use it to cheat on exams instead of learning the material?

If you look like this, it completes your ensemble.

The first thing my phone shows when I touch it is the date and time. I'll never own a watch again rest of my life.
Watches are basically just jewelry fashion accessories now.

Can't argue with any of this. I have a nice watch, but I wear it very rarely. Only for formal occasions.

I gave my Apple watch to my wife. It was basically useless and I felt like a dork wearing it

Oh Chris, you were a dork way before the apple watch came along.

I have 2 watches. A very nice expensive watch I received as an award through work which I rarely wear, and my every day watch I bought at Walmart for about $10. When the battery runs out every 3 years or so I toss it and buy another.

Why would you pay that much for a limited functionality iPhone with a 1" screen?
shite makes no sense to me.

I just got the nike edition series 2 and am loving it so far. Makes it a lot easier to use siri to set reminders or to send texts. Its not life changing though.

The one I have is an eco-drive, so I'm safe on that part. Titanium with a sapphire crystal, so it should (hopefully) last me a good while.

You got it for $10? Where can I get one?

Lol....no. had a friend that worked for a jewelry store and got it half price, though. I'd never have dropped the actual amount on it without that.
