February sucks on the Atlantic coast. It's gonna be cold.
Maybe 10 years ago. Now that global warming (fake news) is on fire, I'm enjoying 65-75 degree weather all winter long here in Wilmington.
Seriously. My guess is this entire winter vie had maybe 15 days that failed to reach 60.
Can't swim but can damn sure enjoy the outdoors.

Options are limited this time of year(any time of year really other than golf) think Pigeon Forge with a shitty beach. Amusement parks, goofy golf, wax museum's and outlet malls. Some nice "gentlemen's clubs" and chain restaurants.
Destin> Gulf Shores> Panama City > Daytona Beach> Myrtle Beach...
Prayers sent...
Seriously tho with the kids you'll have fun, just adjust your expectations...

What's your favorite downtown bar/restaurant for the 6 pm to 1030 dinner crowd?
I usually stay at the Hilton riverfront when I'm there. I usually go to the Brewery because they have a good bar and the food is decent.
Am I missing something?.

Gif you don't mind driving 17 miles, Murrells Inlet is a good place to take the family for a good dinner. Kind of a fishing village with fresh catch. Has a boardwalk that circles around the restaurants, etc.

That's the kind of info I'm looking for. TY

If they're open, best value at Murrells IMO is Bubbas Love Shak .... casual outdoor bar and grill setting but it's attached to Daves Dockside which is high end - same kitchen, chefs and most of the menu (ask for the main menu if you can't find something you want) but at a better deal and normally no wait. Excellent food and kid friendly right on the water. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp and the hush puppies kick arse.
A number of other good restaurants but we seem to keep coming back to this one.

Exactly. And bring sweaters and a jacket for the weekend. It can get cold on the water this time of year.

A jacket good point. Will be a bit breezy. Well I think we've figured out what we are doing Saturday night now.

Crocodile Rocks piano bar at Broadway at the Beach. Was there on a business trip/safety conference a few years ago. Group I was with were talking about a piano bar and I was like does my redneck self belong in a piano bar. But it wasnt what I was thinking. It was freaking awesome!!
Crocodile Rocks is a blast but not for kids....
I took my family (wife, 14 year old and 4 year old) to Myrtle Beach 3 years ago for Memorial Day Weekend. Little did we know that Memorial Day Weekend is also the annual Black Biker Weekend in Myrtle Beach!!!! It was a mix of Freaknik and Daytona Bike Week...except it was almost exclusively sport bikes.....the whole town sounded like it had been invaded by angry bees...day and night....like a lumber jack convention was in town and they all wanted to rev up their chainsaws nonstop.
You also have not lived until you see thousands...and I mean thousands...of very, lets say "thick" young black women in thongs riding on the back of a sport bike...I swear all you could see was black arse cheeks and a tire emerging from it....nothing else...and of course on the sport bike the arse is up in the air so it was really impressive.....seriously the first 7 or 8 times I saw it I immediately repeated the old line "rectum hell, it killed 'em both....." Until my wife told me it was inappropriate and getting old....but it really did appear as if the poor old girl had bent over in the street and some poor bastard had sunk his Suzuki into the rear sprocket.....
We had a great weekend...seriously.....we were probably the only white family in town voluntarily and as such we something of a novelty....almost like royalty....we were treated like famous folks....constantly being asked if we would take a picture with a bunch of young black kids and the like....it was much more memorable than a simple 4 day weekend in May would have been otherwise!!!
