Huntsville has some snow and ice. I am south of Huntsville about 15 miles and we have a little ice and it's a light sprinkle now and temp is 28 so it's freezing on the roads. Hope all in Georgia are ok.

About 4 inches of dry, powdery snow in Central Arkansas. It has warmed up to 13 with a wind chill of 2. Won’t get above freezing until Wednesday.

Pine trees are such pussies in freezing weather and create 90 percent of the power outages and problems around here. Plus pine trees are white trashy looking. Those things suck.

Sold a lot of them last year with timber prices on the rise post-Covid (plantation pines so they are not around structures or utilities)—they become much more likable when they write you a check for them.

Not gonna knock anyone for how they make money, but pine tree farming is the main reason why so many parts of Georgia look so broke down and white trashy. There are parts of south Georgia now that look like third world countries and look like bombs were just dropped last week. Destroys Georgia's natural beauty.

You should stop using paper and lumber products as a boycott.

VHS would eliminate the industry and shuffle all the workers and ancillary business people into the trains for surplus population.

Pine trees are a great investment. Cut smart and replant. Most of the old growth pines were cut many generations ago.

Been sleeting for the last 2 hours. At 9:58CT we have about 2" on the road here and in Huntsville. Down to 22 and falling to 17 degrees overnight. North Alabama will be closed down tomorrow. Won't get above freezing for another few days. Made a big pot of chicken soup Saturday and chili in the freezer. Trees are icing over.
Our county has deemed all roads impassable.

Pine trees are a great investment if you live somewhere else and don't have to look at them everyday. Pine tree thickets are the epitome of low-rent Georgia skanky..

My acreage of pine trees are on a dirt road so you won't have to look at them. Nothing skanky about pine timber land. Trees help the environment, provide a home for wildlife.

Having left home (SOWEGA) right after high school, Loblolly Pines are a beautiful sight when I visit.
