As any to put to rest the idea that Richt can't win a big game.

It seems as if the program has kind of turned the corner. A win Saturday would go a long way to firming that idea up.....a loss will prove the pundits and naysayers right....mediocrity at best.

I think Richt has changed stripes somewhat...we were as outgunned in the 2012 SECCG as we ever are and for want of one more play we win the national title that year. Big games don't seem to be the problem.....

I am still not convinced but win this week and I will be mug closer...

A loss will not prove the pundits right and a win won't prove them wrong. Pundits are always going to troll Richt until he wins a NCG but it's all crap.

As if the team needed more incentive, Spank has pledged to streak the field if we're up two scores with 2min left

so if youre in the top section and think you see a free range rotisserie chicken having an asthma attack midfield, celebrate. Thats our human cigar

Wish I could make that pledge. If I was there I see no reason no to. Unfortunately I won't be there Saturday.

Yall can look for my dong at the dome this year though. I'll be stroking Steve at the 50 yard line when the clock hits :00 for SECCG

I think you are correct. Deservedly or not, UGA has the reputation of not being able to turn the corner and get to the big dance. A loss to a once beaten Bama will further cement that reputation as a less than top level program on a nationally.

Not that I give a shite about the pundits (although it does piss me off some), but I do think it matters if we are in the mix for the playoff. If the major conferences all have champions with 1 loss, a Bama or LSU would get in hands down. UGA, not so sure.

Do you know its been literally a decade since Richt last won a SEC Championship.

and the last 2 years...we let Mizzzou play in the SECCG due to us not taking care of business.

UGA could lose to Bama and win the SEC and UGA could beat Bama and lose the SEC. For Georgia this game is important but less than crucial.
