Agree or disagree?
I remember there was a time when I would have bet my left nut he would win a SB with the Falcons. Its hard for me to go as far as Cowherd, but I can't think of another name.

Ryan Leaf (remember, some folks argued he should have been taken *ahead* of Manning) should probably win it. Vick's up there, though.

I can't get Tony Romo out of my head when I think overrated.

Romo can be good. I'd say hes more inconsistent than over rated. He looked pretty sharp last night.

Has he ever won a playoff game though? I get what your saying though.

He was extremely talented, just low IQ.

Before the scandal, didn't the falcons make Vick the highest paid athlete in all of sports at that time?
Factoring this in, I'd say he might be one of the most over-rated ever for sure.

Vick did make the NFC championship game once though, im sure there are more overrated people out there. Romo for instance as someone in this thread stated, although he did ball out last night.

When he first got to the league? Nah, he was legit. He was really the advent of the spread QB era. There had been mobile QBs before him but none as stupidly agile as he was. Now, in this modern era where every QB seems to run the read option or play the spread in college? Yeah, Vick is overrated as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Agree or disagree?
really depends if you count injuries and arrests and shite.
michael vick was an absolute stud and was going to be a star for years to come. that is just a fact as far as im concerned.
off the field shite cost him his career and fricked the falcons over and ruined everything. i dont really think he's overrated. he was every bit as good as people thought he was and now he's every bit as average as people think he is.

I consider Leaf and Jamarcus busts.
I'm not sure if its the same thing or not

Vick, although short, had a great arm and he was hard to catch. The huge problem was ball security when scrambling.

Cowherd is a dickhead at times. Some of his comments are out in left field. Mike was not overrated. Injuries and dumb decesions derailed his career, but last I checked he is still in the league. Akili smith, Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, Tim Tebow, EJ Manuel are more overrated QBs, Not Vick though.

Vick has competition. Obviously Leaf was really overrated in hindsight but leading Washington State to the Rose Bowl is nothing to scoff at. Sadly, if we have this discussion again in 20 years, Robert Griffin might be at the top of the list because he can't be a pocket QB, which results in him getting injured frequently.
ETA: Based on draft position and production combined, Akili Smith (already mentioned), JaMarcus Russell (also already mentioned), and Joey Harrington deserve to be mentioned here too.
Vick was never going to be a Super Bowl QB. Philadelphia laid the blueprint to stop him in the 2004 NFCCG by forcing him right and make him throw from there, and he hasn't figured out how to adjust to that yet in the 10 years since.
