Does not stop on first down until last 2 mins of half. Should reduce the number of plays on a game a decent bit as well as overall time it takes to play, obviously. Also will affect stats and overs for betting.

But no decline in commercials. Tune in to commercials and see a little football. Frick the NCAA.

Pretty sure it also keeps rolling continually when running out of bounds unless inside 2 minutes. I think previously running out of bounds was either total stop til next snap or at least stop until ball is set like first down. Only thing that stops clock outside 2 minutes now is timeouts and incompletions.

Dang I didn't know about running out of bounds. That's a big deal imo.

It’s huge. Oddly I think with our style it can play into our favor. You can get out to a comfortable lead then run and hide. From what I’ve seen today it looks like teams may run 10-15 or so less plays per game. That’s basically 2 less drives.

I don’t think they changed the out of bounds clock at all. Just the first down clock and also not being able to call consecutive timeouts any more - like nfl

You might be right. I can’t remember from the spring announcement and I didn’t get to see much action today to check

Yes. This has been true for a while, regarding out of bounds.

Games are too long, let's shorten the amount of actual football.

Not one single conversation about shortening commercial breaks.

Somehow, some way, hockey, soccer, NBA, and MLB has figured this out.

Football continues to be a whore with bleeding anal fissures.

I saw where when they introduced this rule they estimated only 7 less plays per game. I’m not a genius but that’s way too low maybe like 15 plus per team

And also the unders are the play at least for the first few weeks. Until the sharps adjust their evaluation

This sounds very personal. I am sorry about what your uncle did to your a-hole.
