Remember when Richt paid his own way to visit Eason during the season?

Got a tape of what they talked about?

I'd like to know all the dirty details of what happened in those offices that year.

My impression is that Richt was given an ultimatum before the season started for how it had to go. Once we lost the Tennessee game, the writing was on the wall. The staff had short timer's syndrome and didn't really care after that.

Lousy way to run a program from start to finish. Greg McGarity should've been on the first plane out after Mark Richt left. Letting him be involved in our next hire was a big mistake IMO.

Everyone always claims to have been misquoted or had it "taken out of context".

Because they are, a lot of the time. Rarely will a journalist put the entirety of what was said in the exact context in which it was said. Especially when there's something seemingly controversial.

Journalists are simply fabulists and propagandists, and are basically unreliable. That said, however, unless this ["But what it boils down to is people. You can be at the University of Georgia and be miserable if you’re working with shi**y people."] contains a shitload of undisclosed ellipses, it's pretty tough to take out of context.

Yes.

So, he's to blame for the no helmet bullshite. Knocked the sense out of him.

I don't buy it. Richt wasn't given an ultimatum, but I'm sure he felt pressure and I'm sure he thought if things didn't go well, he would be fired. However, I don't believe he was given an ultimatum.

I believe Pruitt is responsible for all of the friction on the coaching staff, and some people chose sides. The coaching staff issues didn't even exist before Pruitt got here and Richt doesn't have the strong Saban type personality to lay the law down to Pruitt. Tracy Rocker flat out called it a mutiny in one of his comments and he was talking about Pruitt.

MIke Ekeler is a prototypical Grade A douchebag. And one of the constants among top-shelf douchebags is that they are completely unaware and oblivious of the fact that they are actually douchebags. And therefore, they are always shocked and rattled to their core when they find themselves in a non-douche environment where their lifestyle is rejected and mocked.

This concept is common and needs a name, so we might as well call it "The Ekeler Principle" moving forward.

That being said, Richt might have put together the most disfunctional staffs ever to be assembled in the history of college football last year. Maybe, one day Chip and Seth will do a Zaxby's Zound-Off on the topic and reveal all the ugly details. Probably, they're waiting for Pruitt to get a job out west and be a little further away from them first though.....

So, I guess Bobo leaving and Schotty coming in was the beginning of the end. It seems there wasn't any rumors or problems in 2014 when both Bobo and Pruitt were there.

I dont' have the slightest idea of anything about that last year, but I DO know for certain that he was given an ultimatum before the 2011 season. So it's not out of the realm of possibility.
