Projected to slide in at nickel which would move McGraw to Safety or could compete for starting CB spot according to AJC

ETA: wearing number 2

That sounds dangerous. I don't like to hear that. Hope he doesn't break it again.

He has no contact jersey on. But I agree. Seems dangerous

I wouldn't be surprised if there were titanium rods or something in there that might make his arm even stronger.
Any docs on the board?

Why would he leave Alabama as a starter at nickel back and come to UGA to be the starting nickel back? That doesn't make sense, this kid is gunning for Briscoe's spot. Parrish is the best tackling corner I have ever seen; his spot is safe, but Briscoe is on notice.

Julio Jones had a phenomenal game against us in 2008 three days from having surgery on his hand. It wouldn't surprise me if Sony was already out of a cast.

Maybe he didn't get along with the new coaches. Remember how we lost a couple of DBs when Pruitt came here? Could be a lot of reasons. But yes...I am sure he is hoping to get more playing time.

He also said in one of his interviews that UGA is closer to his family and he wanted to be closer.

I thought he was from Sugar Land, TX? Athens is not closer to TX than Bama. At least not on any map i've ever seen....

Broken bones actually heal in about 3 weeks. It takes muscles, ligaments and tendons longer sometimes. His arm might break somewhere else, but once a break heals, the bone is stronger in that spot than anywhere else. Depending on what nerve damage his injury might have caused, he could be close to 100% by UNC. Sounds like he's shooting for that. Rest assure that his doctors are keeping a very close eye on things.

This is exactly right. Calcium deposits while the bone is healing form around the break forming a knot. The knot goes away after awhile though and does not protect it anymore.

You don't want a plate attached to your break. Your bones are intended to bend. If you have a solid plate attached, the end of the plate will be a leverage point which will make breaking you arm eaiser the second time. I've seen it happen. They unscrewed the plate and just slid it down a few inched to cover the new break.

I could be wrong, but didn't Thomas Davis play in the superbowl with a similar break, with a rod in inserted into his forearm?

Speaking of DGDs...
Not sure about the rod tho.

Did you guys see on Sat Down South say Smith wants to go back to Bama? Not buying it.
