Yep, he played scared until the second half. I don’t think he quit on his team by any stretch though.

We don't generally label our statements as opinions because most people know the difference. There are exceptions.

True, but that’s because most people don’t post their opinions and label them as facts.

I have never in all my years seen a walk-on spoken of so positively by so many players and coaches.

Before Pollack, Richard Tardits was our sack leader. Great player.

Did Frenchy walk on? Hell of a pick up if so.

Weird thread. You know that Kirby is just waiting for JT to be ready. Didn't bring in a 5 star to sit behind either Mathis or Bennett for long.

Then we should see him play Saturday. I’m excited to see them all.

I believe JT was the best high school QB in recent memory save Lawrence and Fields, but Stars aren't destiny, man.

Daniels not ready to take the reins just yet. It'll happen this season IMO, just a matter of when. Hopefully Bennett can get us through the next couple of games with a W.

The question of the starting QB is over. Until Bennett hurts us, it’s his show from here on out.

I told my daughter that this has a 2017 feel to it.

First half of the first game adjustment at QB. Big game the next week. Spirits were down trying to figure out what the goals of the season were with the QB situation. And Bam.
Great defense and special teams.
Great playmakers on offense.
A lot of senior leadership all over the field.

The schedule isnt easy and we are far from perfect. But get better each week. We can be dangerous this postseason.

There is also a little 2017 irony that Bennett was Baker Mayfield on scout team and Monken coached Baker and Chubb in 2019. I've been impressed with Monkens playcalling, play designs, and play selection (not being an idiot on 3rd and 18, but knowing how to create opportunities for 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 10).

I can't get inside this kid's head but when he got in for mop up duty last night he looked angry. He looked as if he really didn't think he deserved to be relegated to mopping up. He won't play much at Georgia I suspect.

He's not ready just yet. He'll get his chance.

"Mathis looked angry"

Thats what I thought. The camera man showed his face after each down. He looks like he had an attitude. Likely another transfer, which sucks for us. Kirby plays to win every game. CMR would have chanced "developing" the talent and possibly sacrificing the season. I prefer Kirby's way ...

Of course this year is totally like any other - no patsies for that kind of thing ...
