Georgia scored 35 points and should have scored 41 which equals last year's total in a game played in Athens.

Proves he did just as good as Murray.

Man, you are a moron.

I'm with you on Mason not being the anti-Christ, but I think it's a bit much to say he's just as good as Murray.

So far, I think Mason has showed that he's better than Joe Cox, but that's about as much as I'm willing to concede at this time.

Mason is safe. That's good and that's bad. Being safe means he's not going to lose many games on his own, but it also means he's not going to win many on his own, either. Murray played balls-out every game, and he lost some and won some. It's not a one-man game, but the QB can sometimes be the difference maker.

Mason probably won't be needed to be "the man" for us, which is good, since he probably couldn't be. But with that said, he's a DGD and I'm glad he can be "safe" and not throw games away. If we can get our WRs back to good health and improve our defense, we won't need him to be as good as Murray; he'll just have to be good enough.

Those who are bashing Mason need to take a step back and look at who he is and who we need him to be. So far, he's who we need him to be. He's not going to put up 400+ yards of passing every game, but that's not what we need. We need points on the board. If that means he tosses a TD or two and we get another 2 or 3 from our RBs, then that's fine by me. With Murray, we had an effective air attack that was supplemented by Gurley. This year, we have stud RBs that can pound it on the ground. We just need to supplement the ground game with some passes here and there to keep defenses honest. I think Mason has shown that he can make (mostly) good decisions with the ball in short-to-medium situations. We just need him to keep that up while we run the ball more effectively (off the edge).

Yeah, it was just a relatively inexperienced quarterback making mistakes that inexperienced quarterbacks make - not good, but not exactly unexpected. It's definitely not the end of the world.

Wait a minute... All of those Mason saviors on here before the season were saying how good he will be due to his being a 5th year and all that jazz. As I said before the season started, he is nothing more than a backup QB at best - maybe a little better than Cox, but marginally at best. But it is what it is and we don't have a better option, or he would be playing/starting ahead of HM.

I never wrote that he was AS good as Murray.

I wrote that the 35 points (which should have been 41) against South Carolina equals the 41 points Georgia scored at home last year against the same team.

This proves that he DID just as good as Murray.

Do you think AT ALL before posting? Serious question....

You realize that Murray threw for 120 yards more and 2 more TDs on 1 more throw.......NOT even CLOSE to as good.

Just stop fricking posting for a while. You are in serious contention for worst ever poster on here.....and there are some Reeeeeally shitty posters

I must have misread it. He certainly was more successful at WB than AM was two years ago, but we're also talking about two different teams, so it's really hard to compare.

Mason is doing just fine. Wish he had a little more arm strength, but if he's accurate, it might not matter.

He equaled Murray in the statistic that matters most...points.
