actually he was a pretty highly recruited guy and can throw it past the first down marker. So yes, he would seem more appealing IMHO.

I'm guessing you are a sidewalk redneck, because you don't seem smart enough to be a college person.

Jefferson, I am as Kool aid as they come, but you have got to look at the situation. UGA has to make some changes personnel wise in order to maximize our chances of winning the east and the Natty.

With the crappy pass defense we have, we can forget the natty. I think Arky and Mizzou will kill our secondary, and both can run pretty well also. Mizzou will knock us out of the East run.

It's fricking embarrassing to literally see 9-10 guys in the box, and we still lack the ability to throw it downfield.

Good news is we won't face a team with better WRs for the rest of the season.

Which plays did Tennessee have 9 or 10 players "in the box" when UGA didn't also have 9 or ten players "in the box" offensively?

I don't know about all that......

But, I have noticed that out-of-state Georgia fans seem like they are the least knowledgable of all....and are consistently the first ones to jump ship and surrender at the first sign of adversity.

Not all of em. But, most.

Just keep an eye on this Trend. It's real....

6 games is a pretty good sample for a 5th year QB. It isn't going to get any better with him.

Mason is what he is.17 of 45 (37.8%) for the year in 3rd down conversions is pretty telling.

Mason is so good. He doesn't turn the ball over and he hands it off to gurly so well. I don't care if he can't throw. He's a senior. He knows the offense. frick the other qb's that may be better than him.

Wow your my hero.

I'm guessing your from some liberal New England state were soccer is king and you never touch a football except in sporting goods at Walmart. Like i said lets meet and settle this like a "slack-jawed" redneck. Maybe i can show you how we handle business down here in the south. Been awhile since i kicked a 150 lb dumbass...you won't be the first so don't feel special.

It's difficult to hold the ALL-TIME passing records in the State of Georgia without being a pretty damn good QB. Our receivers rarely got a great deal of separation from the CB's. The reality is we don't have any speedsters currently playing for us. They (JSW, Mitchell, and Rumph) are all on the bench. In this game, Mason took a couple shots and for whatever reason, got shook and was inaccurate for most of the game. Bobo also didn't have his finest hour- the one where he had Mason scramble to his left with only two receivers in the pattern on 3rd and long???? Nevertheless, reinforcements are coming soon and we got a win in a rivalry game and evened an all-time series that goes back to 1899. Some of yall would bitch about hitting the powerball if someone else hit it too and you had to share.

I'm just going to say...if we play Ramsey or Fauta starting against Vandy...we have a shiny new tool set and dynamic offense in front of us...if they are even just serviceable at throwing the ball down field,we will be a nightmare for defensive coordinators to plan against..considering we get our better WR's back JMO of course

It can't get any worse..Joe Cox doesn't have any eligibility left does he??

when it comes to posters on the dawgrant..past or present...if anyone can be labeled a realist...it's me

I feel like we are heading toward the inevitable with Mason...don't feel we have anything to lose giving Ramsey or Bauta an opportunity,,,but everything to gain...

I agree with you most people overreact on these interwebz..but Mason...he looked average, a serviceable game manager at best last season. with small moments of potential..this season he is not improving..the word is out..he poses no threat...we will lose games we shouldn't...see South Carolina...

If the younger guys are just that far behind with the system...this is all irrelevant..I hope I'm wrong but..I think many of us saw this coming...
