I'm seriously trying to commit myself to the end of the 2018 season before I jump on the Fire Kirby Express.
We have to AT LEAST make the Dome by then.

games, though...almost every year. Either he had talent, or he was a heck of a coach, right?
Or zero quality wins in 2009, 2012, and 2015.

Really? Florida was 11-2 in 2012, and Nebraska was 8-4 so there's that. What's your definition of a quality win?
Not sure why you picked 2009, because we lost about 5 games that year.

I'm probably at least close to your age. And he does look familiar....but can't come up with a name.

I meant 2008, 2011, and 2015.

It's from gilligan's island. Can't remember many of the specifics but the phrase "so sorry, my island now" rings a bell. Want to say it was a season 1 ep.

Absolutely but he didn't win 10 games every season
With the exception of 2-3 years he came pretty darn close. 10 of his 15 years he won 10 or more games. (I have to admit, though, that I am counting last year, too, though. It was his players, his coaches....and they went into the game short several coaches, so in my opinion it was as much his win as anybodys.

YEAH! I KNEW he was familar!
I have to admit....I had the hots for Ginger for most of the run of Gilligan's Island. But it's strange...after I got a little maturity under my belt I started to change my mind towards Mary Ann.

Ah! I figured it was a mistake.
But, even at that LSU was 8-5. Michigan State 9-4 (9-3 in regular season before we beat them in the bowl)
Are you meaning regular season and only ranked teams?
Look. I am not arguing that he was not without his flaws. Nobody should make that argument. But, Kirby has not had a "quality" win either, and has looked rather ugly in two of his wins. We could EASILY be 1-3 right now. VERY easily.
And, I am not arguing that it's time for Kirby to go. That's stupid, too. I am just amazed at how nobody is batting an eye about that Nicholls game. And lets face it.....the only game we have looked good in was the North Carolina game. The game we had 8 months to prepare for.

Crap. You guys have good memories! I remembered the face, but couldn't place the show, much less the episode!

Ranked teams:
1-3 in 2008, 0-4 in 2011, and 0-3 in 2015.
Quite a few blowouts in that 1-10 record.

And which ranked team have we looked good against this year? I mean...that was one argument many on here made for Smart. We would never get blown out with Smart. he would never go into a game as unprepared as we did against Alabama. And yet, we now have Nicholls and Ole Miss. Richt and Smart are looking very similar where I sit, right now as far as that is concerned.

I knew better than to make such a comment. I agree I don't see a big difference yet either.

It'll get there. he's young and learning. I don't know if you saw my comment in one of the other threads....
We have a freshman QB, that we are being very patient and careful with, because he is learning and will have bumps in the road. It's just a normal thing especially in the SEC.
We also have a freshman coach that is on a learning curve. We have to learn to be patient with him, too. he will make mistakes and do some head scratching stuff. but both the QB and the coach will grown and learn. I think they will both be very, very good when it is all said and done.
